Morgan Gibbs-White

Gibbs White will be KDB’s replacement. I’m not quite sure why people think we would sign him as anything else. Many seem hooked on the idea that he’s completely separate to a top creative replacement. Be in for a shock lads and lasses.

He may arrive as de Bruyne leaves, but to designate him as his replacement would be imprudent.
 
The standards are on the floor if we're trying to convince ourselves this guy's a good signing. We've gone from some of the greatest midfielders the Premier League has ever seen to guys that are just totally off the level.

We've gone from signing the top young talent in Europe with scope to develop to overpriced fodder in our league. Gibbs-White is 25 and has never played in Europe, has had one England cap and is in a team that plays a completely different style of football.

We should be doing better.

Then I’m confused. You originally described him as ‘de Bruyne’s replacement’ but now you say he will play in his place and we will not sign a direct replacement.

I just think it will be imprudent to label anyone as de Bruyne’s replacement, since it would put a tremendous weight of expectation on that player’s shoulders.

The club haven’t and don’t have the appetite since the treble win. It’s almost like that was the pinnacle and now it’s just hopefully get top 4/5 every season to keep the dough rolling in.
 
maybe Pep changes our style so much and thinks so high of Nuno Santo that he will implement same tactics here next season. then MGW makes a lot of sense...

to be honest if before the season someone tells me Nuno Santo will have about same points with that nothing of a squad headed up by 35 year old Chris Wood as 4peat City under Pep...

Maybe the top players don't want to join us anymore, that was probably the case with Wirtz
 
I want MGW and reijnders to replace gundo and bernardo. I wanted wirtz to replace KDB. we need 3 midfielders.
