Who then?
I'd love Rayan Cherki.
I'd rather Xavi Simons before MGW.
They are infinitely better footballers with better resume's.
Who then?
You’re expecting the best want to come Here’s a wake up call, there are bigger clubs than us who players will want to go to.There isn't a weird assumption at all.
If you want to be a serious club that is desperate to get back to winning titles, you go all out for the best you can get.
If you accept second or third best, you dont win the big prizes.
If that's what we have accepted now... let's just enjoy a top 4 battle every season ey. So much for ambition, eh.
It's pretty hard to say a player in Ligue 1 for Lyon is better than MGW.I'd love Rayan Cherki.

Would be typical PepI totally can see Pep sticking MGW to winger role as not intelligent enough for him to be a midfielder.
Typical Pep who has delivered 18 trophies?Would be typical Pep
Both are closer to MGW than they are KDB. Cherki is not a pep player, he will burn all bridges and piss everyone off. He doesn't run off the ball, if he did then hed probably have already been signed. What MGW brings off the ball makes up for what Simons has over him on the ball.I'd love Rayan Cherki.

If he doesnt want him, he knows who to call. So this bollocks about Pep being lumped with X, Y and Z is complete shite.Pep is used to the likes of Iniesta, Xavi, Busquets, Rodri, KDB, prime Gundo, Schweinsteiger, Lahm or players with incredible engine line Arturo Vidal or Fernandinho proved at the highest level no disrespect to Wolves and Forest...
give him MGW and its like wanting a quality medium rare steak for dinner and get a pickled egg instead with a saveloy...

We have signed David Silva, Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure all before having won a Premier league title.
Don't make excuses for the board... they have to deliver this season.
We aren't lickle City anymore, we are a big team and one of the most successful teams in Europe over the past decade.
You’ve completely proven my point. We aren’t ‘likkle’ (grow up) City anymore. We are now with the elite. With that comes elite players choosing elite clubs. Wirtz, if that’s we are talking about, has chosen an elite club in his homeland over an elite club in a foreign land.We have signed David Silva, Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure all before having won a Premier league title.

He's a quality player and is largely responsible for Forest's good season. He's got physicality and technique. He might not be world class like Duet or Lamine Yamal but players like that are not coming to City now. The task now is to rebuild a City side that can challenge for the title again. The standards are on the floor if we're trying to convince ourselves this guy's a good signing. We've gone from some of the greatest midfielders the Premier League has ever seen to guys that are just totally off the level.
We've gone from signing the top young talent in Europe with scope to develop to overpriced fodder in our league. Gibbs-White is 25 and has never played in Europe, has had one England cap and is in a team that plays a completely different style of football.
We should be doing better.
I think what we have missed from Rodri is more than just his ability. It’s his drive and made others around him put that extra effort in.
Bernardo did that too but his recent comments suggest some are not going with him.
MGW adds that drive too.
We need 3 or 4 of that type of player imo
A Pep player used to be players who were technically sound. Nowadays its someone who wont take risks :(What is a Pep player, a robot with no individuality?
Getting kinda bored of seeing a team of robotic players now passing sideways and backwards and not having the quality to win us a football match.
I just want to go back to enjoying watching us play again with entertainers.
He's also able to play through the lines and over the defense. We've had Ruben Dias, kovacic and Akanji in those positions lately. Huge differenceRodri makes us as counter attack resistant as it is possible to be. He also dictates the flow of the game so we play with greater rhythm rather than how disjointed its been, even with great possession stats. His switches of play are invaluable against the low block and he adds goals. We miss him so much.
Overatted english purple patch player.
Rodri is a bad example. He was slated to fuck in his first season with us, and a lot of people said he'd never be good enough to replace Fernandinho. Most of our top players were not household names when we signed them; they became household names after joining us. It hasn't worked out in recent years, but let's not pretend that we've always signed ready-made stars, because we haven't.The City of old would have been at the table for players like Neves or Vitinha. They had Rodri at the club whilst Fernandinho was there. They've become reactive rather than proactive and their spending in recent years has been more and more erratic.
I hope Gibbs-White proves me wrong, but they've used their resources appalling in recent years.
