Don't forget, we can't use injuries as excuse for the drop off this season. We are the only club that can't mention injuries to top class players. Liverpool only lost virgil van hype and they fell apart in 2020.
 
What sort of thigh injury Keeps a player out this long? Seriously.

Has he had it removed?

I think Pep has moved on from him even though he is arguably our best ever defender when fit, which is hardly ever.

The one thing I have against him is that he seemed to always put England before City….every time.

I don’t agree with your last point. He’s played for city loads of times whilst injured.

You can’t really blame a player either for wanting to play in a World Cup or euros. Most if not all of our players would pick country.

He’s chosen to play in meaningless friendlies when City have important matches coming up particularly when he has just recovered from being injured.

Many players swerve meaningless friendlies under such circumstances. I can’t make the below statement “unbold” for some reason!

I still love him the player though.


Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says he has no time for players returning injured from international friendlies, as he reflected on an incident involving John Stones on England duty in March before their UEFA Champions League quarter-final with Real Madrid last season. Guardiola said he was “never so angry” or “disappointed” and reminded nations it is the club that pays the players.​

Rumours of his ‘injury’ problems are in his head…….
 
Needs to leave

Barely featured and he's like this season in season out it's gonna get worse year by year

Class player but honestly if he only fit 20% of the season we have to get rid

Problem is don't see anyone taking a risk on him
