Rodrygo

He’s contracted until 2028 so it won’t be easy to get him from Madrid, unless he’s looking for a move.

Could easily go into next year with

Rodrygo and Doku on the left, Savio and Bobb on the right.

Foden can be the 10 if back in form and can cover out wide, Marmaoush could easily be used as a 10 or out wide.

Jack, McAtee and potentially Bernie all going.

It's weird but I don't think we have dud wingers.. we have wingers with dud shots.

Some players just have that venom in their shots..

Aguero had it, Yaya had it, KDB had it, Mahrez had it, Sane had it, Rodri still has it..
But some just find shins and keeper saves the shots.

That said I'm not sure Rodrygo is the answer if he has no venom in his shot.. because Madrid don't play vs park the bus every week.

We don't need another 80-100 mil signing that has the same problems.

Respectfully he scored multiple important goals against us in the champions league. When they played Atletico in the CL he scored an absolute banger as well

My take is that the "no venom in his shot" sounds ridiculous when you consider this. The only reason he is available is Madrid likes to throw out their old toys for shiny new ones. There's very little shame in being displaced in the lineup by the arrival of Mbappe. Arda guler has played well for them as well. They're well stocked in those positions so they can sell from there.

And if Real are willing to let him go.. they clearly think he's not as good as those they have. IMO we should not get him on a long and expensive contract because he's living off of Cancelo's mistakes in our heads.

Just look at Kai Havertz for that.. he's made a living off of Zinny's mistake.

He's a bit better than that mate, just typically of Real Madrid they are happy to spit someone out for a shiny new toy!

I do agree it's risky but hes at least 50% better than what we have!

Agreed. Their scouting is generally good, but they are always after the latest shiny new toy and sometimes thats at the detriment of their team. We should take advantage of that on occasion and this (Rodrygo) should be one of those occasions!!

A bit of a daft statement really. We'll be pursuing the players that we are interested in, while other teams pursue players that they are interested in.

If we're not pursuing Rodrigo, it's because we aren't interested, for whatever reason. You may agree or disagree about whether we should be after him but to suggest we're sitting on our arses doing nothing is just a bit daft really.
