As things stand, with two games remaining, we shelled out 113 million GBP for three players (Khusanov, Reiss, Gonzalez) who have been given a combined 1,600 minutes between them. That’s a mere 8,125 GBP per minute…
Thats terrible particularly as football finishes this close season

Of course it doesn't, but I'm within my rights to reflect upon why we spent so much in the winter window, which is a notoriously difficult time to do good business, on players who have barely featured.
Khusanov was thrown straight in out of neccesity and was crucial for about a month until the injury problems eased slightly. If we secure CL football, he will have played a key role in it.

Nico we thought could slot straight in given his barca upbringing, it was a decent calculated gamble that hasn't worked out so far but we had to try something.

Marmoush has undoubtedly been very good making a telling contribution and Reis was bought as a future signing not for now, we have a history of signing south American prospects in January.

So really there was 3 signings in January, 2 of which have been crucial to putting us where we are now, if we win our next 2 games they've paid for themselves.

And Reis was brought from South America, and those signings are usually in January anyway.

Don't agree with this.
We've looked more solid when he's played. Has he looked any worse than Bernardo, Gundo & Kova? I don't think so. Against Newcastle he was excellent. Just like with Khusanov, he's being judged to a higher standard than those players which is unfair. Pep's favourites have been underperforming all season but they still get in. The new signings are frozen out if they do one thing wrong in a game. Nico G and Gundo together is our best pairing in the cente. It's another example of Pep picking players on reputation rather than form.

Of course it is. Serious questions need to be asked , of course the won't as Pep has an unhealthy control of the club now and doesn't seem to answer to anyone. This season has been a total shambles. £160m is hardly loose change no matter how wealthy the club is. What the fuck were they bought for if they weren't going to be used? It's the here and now we needed them.

I agree that Pep seemingly can do what he wants at the club now, hopefully Viana gets more firm or at least challenges Pep unlike Txiki who doesnt or wont as they are too close.

It feels like they were signings pep didn’t really want.

So 150m was it? On one signing for the first team and this season.

So as football doesnt finish at the end of this season, prehaps the club might be looking to the future rebuild with some of the players who have been brought in. Reis was always a future one, Khusanov did well but then we found a set up in the centre of defence and midfield that got the club through a 10 match unbeaten run and pushed us to the possibility of champions league football. Nico was like all midfielders we sign, taking him time to fit into the set-up at a critical time so not a time to tinker if it was working (just).

Not sure any of them would have improved on the 10 match unbeaten run. They will all feature a lot going forward as i think all three are great prospects (you can add Bah to that too) , that's my reflection.

In fairness, Pep should do whatever he wants. He is the manager. He can pick and choose who he wants.

All Viana can or should do, id get him the players.
