Players who might improve us

Wilfried Singo; can play anywhere across the right hand side. RB/RWB/RCB. Composed on the ball had a great season for Monaco.
 
Baleba. Would be an insane signing. I honestly don’t see anyone over-running us in midfield with him and Rodri. Can definitely play as an 8 too. One of those hybrids.

What’s people obsession with Garcia ?
 
Whatever money we were willing to pay to sign Wirtz, City should do the following. :

1- Calls Juventus and offer them 65 Million Pound for Kenan Yildiz, they will reject and ask for 100m ,then will shake hands and give them the 100

2- Call Kenan Agent and tells him Juve are paying Kenan 49K a week, and we will pay him 200K a basic salary + bonuses.

He is generational talent and have 80% chance to be World class player.
 
Has Spain stopped producing the likes of Silva, Fabregas Santi Cazorla Xavi Iniesta kind of players.
15 years back they were coming up in numbers and played all across Europe.
The absolute downfall of Seville and Valencia means there is no market to buy players who are technical and have an eye for forward pass.
 
This thread is very apt for where the club is with its transfer strategy. We don’t want to pay for top players who will improve the squad like Wirtz and instead take numerous chances on other options. I know we have done this in the past but the last transfer window does not fill me with confidence…

Would be happy with that. Going to need a few midfielders next year, as Kovacic tops out around 2,700 minutes, Bernardo, going into his final year, may feel the effects of this season, and Gundogan should be down to plugging the occasional gaps, as was surely the intention this season.

The 4 youngsters all fill our current positional needs and have high ceilings. They are potentially attainable targets and would also allow us greater tactical flexibility. Gibbs-White is league tested and would bring the much needed energy required. They may not inspire you but our needs have become too many and too great to sink everything on 1-2 ‘elite’ players.

Was pooh-poohed earlier in the season when I said the rebuild would take another season, ant least, and stand by it. For comparison, though, which 5 players do you think we ought to sign?

Im not a DOF but if i was to pick 5 players

Reijnders
Pedro Porro/Dumfries (Porro wins on Age)
Bastoni(Josko goes to left back) failing that Antonee Robinson
Xavi Simons or Zaire Emery
Rodrygo

Were also going to need potentially 3 goalkeepers
Carson to be replaced by Forster Ruddy or some homegrown Veteren for free
Ortega replaced by Walter Benitez on free
Ederson preferably stays but looks like Diogo Costa is the choice id chose Chevalier myself

I confess I haven't even begun to think about the goalkeeping situation. You certainly wouldn't get much change from 350 million GBP for those 5, and that would be some outlay on top of our winter splurge. Even if we don't agree on the actual players, we're somewhat closer on the positions to be filled and needs required, so it'll be interesting to see what Viana presents come August. It could yet be that we both feel underwhelmed.

Agree I enjoy a good debate were most definitely on same page anyway if true Reijnders is a fantastic start. So lets hope
 
We need that player who can pick a pass. KDB did it, Silva did it, Yaya did it and even Laporte from deep did. We don’t have that player at the min and names like Eze and MGW while better than what we have aren’t that player. They seem to score decent goals from time to time but they aren’t creative driving forces that win games. Look at McAllister for Liverpool, that’s what we need imho
