North Stand Construction Discussion

If the hotel was open now, it would be full tonight.

100,000 people in and around the city centre tonight for the City v Bournemouth match, the Bruce Springsteen concert at the Coop Live Arena, and the Kyle Minogue concert at the AO arena.

Full tonight ? It will be full whenever City play at home, never mind coop live !

It might sound daft, but is there any restrictions on who go buy hotel rooms for when city are playing. (You must have a ticket for the match).

I can see a scenario where we play Madrid or Liverpool and the entire hotel being full of away fans with windows draped with their flags.

That isn't an impossible scenario tbf.

Doubt there would be restrictions, given it will be run by Radisson. There may be incentives and discounts on the rooms with a ticket or some type of deal, but as far as rooms go, I can't see them excluding anyone at any time.

The windows don't open though, so flags would be internal.

Thank fuck for those sails, eh?

Should see the pitch protection arriving in the newest few days followed by cranes Going to be interesting how the old roof "railway" is removed this being the yellow temporary structure that the cheery pickers moved on

Yeah I mentioned before I wondered how they will shimmy the angled yellow props out underneath a fully purlined roof. One way would be take the old roof away first then oull them out from that side.

I assume the “cherry picker railway” will have to stay until the roof extension/end pieces are in position ??

Sounds like the plan
At some point the rods will take the load (maybe already) do you think could the props be jacked down to do this?

That would make sense, but then the new gantry connections between the beams give them a better access points than the cherry picker tracks, now that they are built.
