Watching it again on the news brings it all home. What a fabulous send off.

Saying goodbye stings, but the man has been truly outstanding. I don't think we'll be seeing his like again for quite some time.

I could happily sit around all day watching compilations of his goals and assists. Difficult to think of another player who can hit the ball with such violence, yet with so much precision.

As a Gooner I'm glad to see the back of the bugger. As a football fan, wow what a player, one of the best ever to grace our league, so many clutch moments, all the best Kevin and I reckon he can still do the business in a less physical league.

I’m glad we paid £51m for someone to sit on the bench.
A great passer, a man with vision, a humble genius, just a great player.
Thank you King Kev.
A superb idea to have King Colin’s family to do the honours.

We get so much vile abuse as a club & a fan base but when we circle the wagons for a club legend we are a magnificent club with a magnificent support
Thats what we need. We should make a point of not even riling or winding up opposition fans ..just 100% positive support for our team
so much better...mentally for every one

I’ve cried more tonight than when I was eleven and, in the hope of impressing a girl, tried to jump over a wooden spiked fence, failed and impaled my left knacker on it.

Kevin, you bloody legend.
That explains a lot, and why you are a melt!

;)

Yet was never good enough to win player of the month ......... apparently

I view that as his standards being that high consistently that it was just looked upon as the norm. If somebody else got say 6 assists in 4 games people would probably sit up and take notice, with Kevin most would just shrug their shoulders. He's been that good people just expect it from him.

Horrible the thought of him not pulling on that blue shirt again. Immortalised the number 17. Icon.

Really choked me up last night. Great atmosphere second half befitting of a player who has in so many occasions won us games single handedly. You could see how much the last 10 years have meant to him and he gave his all in that game last night, just wish he’d scored. Incredible player and he will be hugely missed. Thank you KDB.

BTW when the former players were appearing on screen to pay tribute it made me realise again how lucky we have been for the last decade and more - we have been privileged to see some serious players. And KDB is probably the best of the lot.

He leaves us being in the conversation as best City player of all time. Doherty, Trautmann, Bell, David Silva, Aguero and KDB is the list I reckon. Hard to say exactly where he is. But for moments of clutch impact it's hard to look past him.

Just a bit of a shame he ran out of legs this year when everything else fell apart around him and highlighted/exacerbated his vulnerabilities. If he was in the 18/19 team at this age, he'd have still been very, very, very good.
