I know we keep joking about it but in all seriousness they might actually go down next year.

It would be beautiful

Sadly it seems the gap between promoted teams and the rest is getting bigger. you don't even need 30 points now to stay up. As shit as they are, they'll scramble the required points by hook or by crook(ed) refs, especially when there's likely to be 3 shitter teams

For what its worth Berrada will be part of the problelm.

When he left City my city employee mate was puzzled to fuck that hed got such a big gig at united.
He said he was a very junior partner of the big cheeses at city and eye brows were raised that he had got a job 4/5 levels above what hes capable of
I think he's doing a really good job

They will get very little money now for transfers. Their wage bill is huge, 2nd highest after us I believe , but their players are worth a pittance. Rashford is worth nowhere near what they want. They might get 50m for Fernandes, but not much else for any of their other players. They have lost 300m over the last three years and have only got away without being charged for breaking PSR rules as the powers that be bent the rules for them.
They need to shop in a different market now. The Sporting Team that Amorim built cost 184 million Euros. Gyökeres was signed from the Championship. Brighton shop in South America. Signing the likes of Cunha is what will destroy them in the end. That model is old hat now.

Yep. Ratboy will be on his Sly soapbox from now until then, drumming up the plastics to protest against my heroes, the Glazers. He will be conducting things from the safety of his comfy studio set, urging and cajoling the zebra brigade to urge all out war on the club that made him a wealthy man, and thus gave him the platform to launch his PR broadsides from.
It's another PR attempt from him to tell the mongol masses that he's 'one of them.' A local working class boy made good. A scruffy little urchin from the back streets kicking an empty tin can about and dreaming of being a famous footballer. And all the gullible little non-entities will follow their leader and encourage him to launch a hostile takeover of the club, which he will do successfully with the help of class of '92, then he'll be held aloft by the cheering crowds as they meander through the streets of Trafford with their new owner, Sir Ratboy Snivel, on their shoulders.

And then the treacherous, two-faced whinging little bastard will do what he's always done, stab everyone in the back and then fuck off to warmer climes with his bulging bag of swag.

It's known as history repeating itself.
...as long as I don't have to hear the duplicitous twat co-commentating on sky any more, I don't give a squirt of rat's piss what he does.

I've just been having a look back through all of our points totals and finishing positions between our promotion back to the Premier League in 2002 and our 5th place finish in 2010.

02-03: 51 points (9th)
03-04: 41 points (16th)
04-05: 52 points (8th)
05-06: 43 points (15th)
06-07: 41 points (14th)
07-08: 55 points (9th)
08-09: 50 points (10th)

United are currently on 39 points in 16th place. If they fail to win against Villa they will be statistically worse than literally every City team since we got promoted back to the top flight under Keegan. The highest they can finish is 14th, which would still make them worse than us in 02-03, 04-05, and 07-08.

Deflection tactics on Sky now. Let’s talk about Pep’s comments that he’ll quit. They’re loving it!! So pep wants a core group - is that bad??

I'm actually tempted to watch Rags v Villa on Sunday just to laugh at the vitriol coming for their Players, Coach and Manager by the entitled twats .... but we're playing down at Craven Cottage and still need a point?

Tricky one????

Yup, no European distractions, they’ll probably sneak in to top half of table and a 1/4 or Semi in the Carabao (providing their drawn at home streak continues) [emoji23]
If I was him, I'd burn it down and start again with youth with a 5 year plan. But looking at the Cunha deal, they are never gonna learn

The game I was thinking of was Middlesboro. Apparently they didn't have a shot or a corner but got three points l just found it in The Northern Echo " A Victory for Magnificent Defence " 1st December 2003.

This was the one I was thinking about. I don't think Bolton had a shot on target until that pen. We all walked out in stunned silence.
