That was the basis of the conversation mate but i`m not sure Pep is up for it.

Pep was planning on leaving this summer as was Txiki and as a result we did very little to the squad last summer. Didn’t address our issues in midfield and hoped we could have a last dance and they could leave on a high.

In the end injuries to Rodri, Stones, Ake, Akanji and Dias together with an aging midfield meant our season was a mess.

Viana isn’t coming in for the short term so he has to plan beyond the next two seasons.

Once the season is over and we know whether we’re in the champions league we’ll see some movement. Some of our targets will have big matches coming up so it doesn’t suit anyone to have rumours out there.

We will definitely try to add to the squad before the Club World Cup. We may also get an idea of players on the way out if there are high profile absentees from the squad going to the US.

Has it? By all accounts most people think Rejners and Gibbs White are virtually done and the season hasn’t even finished.

Only the specific full back targets we are going to get remains unclear imo & the rest I imagine depend on outgoings e.g ederson and/ or Ortega. Imagine we get a couple of signings over the line before the CWC shite.

I meant we had constant posts about Costa, Cambiaso, Wirtz, Wesley, MGW, Reijnders and Rodrygo over the last weeks and now its just gone deathly quiet from any outlets now?

Anyone have any idea when we travel for the CWC? First game is the 18th June so i assume the players get 2 weeks holiday from Sunday and then go?

Thinking about loaning out of some younger players, I think it would be good to load Bah and Reis to premier league clubs. Would be good to see how they get on and we could compare them to work out which gets a shot at the first team first.

I'd also loan out echeverri but not premier league. France, Portugal or Holland would be good leagues for him to get plenty of game time at a decent standard.
