Bowen should be considered although he is 28 so that goes against him.
I know he doesn't play in the same position as wirtz and is more of a right sided forward but he scores, gets assists and is also homegrown.
I'd say saka but no way arsenal would sell.

btw even Bayern struggling to find a similar profile, their plan Bs are Mitoma or Leao, in that case Musiala would be more centrally imo and Mitoma or Leao from the left, while with Wirtz and Musiala it could have been nice swaps all season ...

what people forget Wirtz is very clever tactically, he can easily be an inside forward in a 433 off the wing he may not play as a 10 in dippers system, they could be trying a midfield again with serious stamina and workrate like this season but go with Wirtz-striker-Salah upfront. or in some games he can drop back being a 10 when they need it.

really hope they wont have money left to upgrade on Nunez and Jota as strikers.

arent they rumoured to be after Isak from Newcastle - he is very very good and would score bag fulls if he goes there as well as Wirtz

It’s one or the other for pool. Getting Isak out of Newcastle will be basically impossible but they had the funds ready and jumped on the Wirtz deal. Fair play to them.

Us and Munich had been sniffing around Wirtz for a few years. Never saw anything about Liverpool looking at him back then. They’ve reacted and pulled it off.

Interesting as lets look at a few examples

Pogba - even when we were in for him plenty on here said there we doubts over his attitude
Maguire - lots said he wasnt good enough - never good enough ont he ball for us and it was worrying at the time that someone wherein our cub he was considered
Shaw - so many said he would fail - it was so so obvious.

The only real one where I dont think people would have questioned if we had got him that ultimately was a disaster for them was Alexis Sanchez - i think everyone wanted him and he proved to be a huge failure....

As you can see we are struggling to bring in elite players anymore so I can’t see why we bring inn.

12 goals and 9 assists in the league this year so 21 goal involvements.
I bet wirtz doesn't have that many next season if he's at Liverpool.
 
The game doesn't really have high quality maverick type players anymore and the ones who are aren't good enough to compensate for their blazé attitudes so the best line of recruitment would be goalscoring wingers and midfielders who can supplement them and funnily MGW is a midfielder who can supplement a forward line.
 
what we have in foden, marmoush, OReilly and Everechi who can all play the postion.

Add rejinders and the fact both rodri and nico can play more adcanced roles, we are in a strong position.
