Match of the Day

Chapman and Logan are very goid, Dalglish less so but watchable.
As a presenter Lineker was ok in my book, I liked the fact that he had played at the highest level. Would prefer someone like Nedum over any of the other three. Although nothing against them personally, I just like his analysis.

Linekar was a great player and a great presenter in a show and sport he was very passionate about.
However, he should not have used his position of power and influence within that specialist field to air some of the self-important shite he did.
Shame he couldn't listen to advice and the terms of his contract.
Can’t really blame someone for speaking out about something far more important than his job presenting football. Fair play to him

Aint watched it for years nothing against the presenters but when the majority of games are live or highlights are on youtube within an hour then sadly its lost its purpose unless you aint got access to the net.

Don't even think about getting me onto Marmoush not being awarded goal of the season...
I demand to see the actual results of the poll...

Oh do fuck off.

Speaking out about the despicable actions of the state of Israel is not antisemitism.
I agree but that's not what Lineker did. Having spoken out (and been suspended) over his tweet about the government using language reminiscent of the Nazis, he then used an image that was reminiscent of the Nazis.

And yet again I'll point out that It doesn't matter who he criticised, be it Trump, Putin, China, Starmer etc., he breached the relevant BBC guidelines on numerous occasions.

I didn’t take issue with the BBC or Lineker. I took issue with you challenging the post you quoted.

Lineker knew the consequences and spoke out anyway.

Sugar can spout whatever shite he wants though

If any lesser person at the BBC had breached their social media guidelines as frequently as Lineker had, they would have been sacked long before the spineless BBC took action against him.

Good grief you are miles off with this one ..... Linekar being forced out, is a sad loss to Broadcasting. Up there with the greats like Lynam & Coleman.

Please tell me you won't be championing the likes of Aluko to take over?

He forced himself out, just like in any job you break the rules you should suffer the consequences, no matter how important you are.

Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up on DAZN being paid a wedge to host their CWC coverage.
I think he's done with it. Has a podcast to keep him busy and he's mentioned his desire now is to follow Leicester home and away with his sons. Sounds like a great plan.

Although I agree a summer tournament would be the most likely to see a return. We'll see.

Hes an anti semite. No on going protests about the massacre of 1000 kids on Oct7th.
He clearly isn’t, hence apologising for his mistake and taking it straight down. No, just on ping murder and starvation for 18 months since
