Pep Ljinders appointed as assistant coach | James French joins as set-piece coach (p15)

Shocked about this, but he has a great cv under Klopp, and like I've posted about this before, what we see isn't the same as what Pep people at City and how they get along with them after games..

One thing he will bring his magic beans

I presume he’ll bring ideas that Klopp has/had and say what we want about Klippety, he’s a fantastic manager and caused us a lot of trouble.

The dippers fans saying he’s a cheerleader is enough for me. Coping mechanisms.

Well Klopp our next manager after pep then

It’s an interesting one, for sure. Potentially signals a minor adjustment in our style of play, with more of an emphasis placed on the type of counter-pressing Klopp used at Liverpool. Either way, I reckon it’s good news. New ideas can’t be a bad thing.

Don't know how to feel about this, on one hand he's been a successful number 2 and him coming here will drive the feral lot wild but on the other hand, he failed as a manager and wasn't given the dipper job either when it was claimed he would succeed Klopp. Also he went full dipper.

Skeptical. Probably rather it wasn't him but if he is who pep wants and who they've deemed the best fit then go so be it.

If only to piss the dippers off, I am in!

I personally see it as an excellent appointment. I don't buy the idea that Pep's approach is outdated but I do like the idea of us using a bit more tactical flexibility and allowing our attacking players to express themselves more and I think Lijnders will help create those ideas and challenge People suitably.
