It's Quiet the £250m return

I'm gutted about John, thought he would just run down his final year but he wants to go to the World Cup.

City have said bring us a club. Essentially a free transfer or paying a big subsidy towards his £250k a week wages.

Deserves the same send off Kev got.

Yes, the injuries are a massive asterisk, but he was the glue. Prime Kompany, Dias, even Rodri, all because of Stones right next to them.

history will be very kind to what John stones did in all of our big wins. Our famous long win stretches all coincided with him being back in the team.

Being told ten out.

Here's my educated guesses?

Eddie
Ortega
Stones
Walker
KDB
Gundo
McAtee
Jack
One of Bernie or Kovacic
Nunes
If it does hit as high as 10 out, not a chance that will be from the current 21 list. Two or three from there maybe the rest are kind of not really relevant to the squand numbers anyway.

Maybe. Heard it all before.

If it were up to me I'd rather see him stay and Gundo go. Even over Bernardo, if being honest. And obviously I love them both no end.
Not sure, i'd be too bothered which of them it is now looking at the incoming. They all have benefits. If i could go mental and get a willing understudy #6, Wharton etc id yard the all three.

Definitely a 400m transfer spend to replace all that :)

I think due to injuries he doesn't get the respect he deserves. Maybe in time the plaudits will come because he has been an exceptional footballer for club and country. Can't blame him for wanting the world cup place and can't blame City for needing to plan for life without him. If he isn't fit he is too expensive to take up a place in the squad sadly.

Quite right though, would have been nice to give him a proper send off if he is leaving. Hopefully we get the chance one day.

Agree bud, out of Bernie or Kova who would you prefer to stay. For me it would be Bernie probably for sentimental reasons. I could also see Akanji and Ake going and branthwaite coming in :)
Ake and Akanji are still well under contract, and Guardiola is going to need experience at the back, especially as we’re still short of fullbacks and Gvardiol’s duties are split. The club now has a plethora of young centre backs, all alas unproven, so somewhere the planning for succession was out of kilter.
