Khaldoon's End of Season Review 2025

Being frank City Matters will do fuck all, other than what the club tells them to do. It’s going to be down to 1894 to keep the pressure in without doubt

imho it'll take both working in tandem. 1894 can mobilise large numbers of fans, and can communicate via tifos etc to show the "average" fans view on events. 1894 can then sit down with those in the club and say "look at what's been done, thats the view of the fans, thats what we need to address".

Probably best not to have a "best supporters group" competition....

Mansour and Khaldoon will just have told Soriano to fix it. Neither of them are investing one second of their time in approving matchday pricing.

Edit: I should have said imho ....
Exactly.

Soriano wouldn't have done that off his own back.

I think Khaldoon has been involved in this more than we think he has.

How do you know this?

I did edit it to say imho.

But it is based on my knowledge of the roles of Mansour, Khaldoon and Soriano. Basically, Mansour decides what he wants from his investment, Khaldoon tells Soriano what Mansour wants and Soriano delivers it.

If Mansour wants better fan engagement (and I hope, and still believe, he does), I doubt Khaldoon tells Soriano how to do it. He just wants to make sure it happens.

Perfectly happy to be proved wrong.

There's one difference between our fan base and the fan bases of United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Spurs.

Not once, ever, from what I can remember, have we criticised or protested against Sheikh Mansour, even during the fan protests. Those other fan bases have protested against and criticized their owners.

Our anger and protests were directed against the board, and not against Sheikh Mansour.

We are the only fans that have a chant for a club owner.

"Sheikh Mansour my Lord....

See. People are only interested when we're winning. Everyone loved Khaldoon and hung off his every word. One bad season and fans suddenly because bored of him

What the fuck are you on about? I was at Maine road watching us get beat by Blackpool mate.

Our “success” has got nothing to do with these scripted videos being boring as fuck.

When he pulled the super league stunt a lot of fans were not happy so he paid for the 16 planes.

Well why even bother to turn on watch "some of it" if it bores you to fuck ? The fucking state of some of these posts is at its worse with some fans.

Everyone on the Board was responsible to that fiasco and no doubt he was swayed by the "positives" from the Board.
It backfired and we were the first club to remove itself from the SL, even if the media tells everyone it was Chelsea.
Paying for those planes is just speculation.

I’m gald he addressed and spoke about the discontent between the fans and the directors, and acknowledged that issue this season.

I look forward to further positive announcements later this year regarding ticket prices, engagement between the directors and the fans, etc.
Amongst that, I think he was hinting he expects more from the fans, if I'm being honest.

I a not saying I agree with that btw, just felt there was an element of him looking for some understand there.

Sure I remember us losing to Blackpool on penalties for some cup game in the late 90s?
I think you might be right was it a 2 leg tie and we won on the night lost on pens? Technically not a loss but feels like one as we went out.

Edit - Good memory - we lost on pens in the first round of the League cup after both team won the home legs 1-0. Crowd at MR was 12k.

Not sure

Just remember sadness and my uncle saying we’d lost. One of my earliest city memories

I was a kid
