Their win over us give them the belief that they could get decent results and set the tone for what followed..
Classic coming into form at the right time and the confidence that goes with that resulting in some stellar performances. But despite the incredible talent at their disposal, it hasn't been like this all season in the Ch League. If we were to take any notice of the muppets at BT/TNT, then there's no point in any other side turning up next season. Interesting hearing them comparing Erling unfavourably with PSG's/Barca's rising crop. What!!?? No other striker on the planet scores as regularly as Erling - several months out injured and still scores more than 30 goals.

My earlier comment about PSG and media double standards brings me to something else. Pundits frothing at the mouth about Dembele. Ultra gifted player, yes - does things other great players can't. But look at the career stats of this 28 year old player. 20 goals in 72 Champions League games - always plays in mega talented sides. 114 career goals at 28!! Plays against vastly inferior sides every week in France. He's always been inconsistent. You don't know from one week to the next whether he'll turn up. His scoring record is dismal. As for PSG this season, they were almost as bad as us for most of the league stage of the Ch L, then hit form and dumped Liverpool out. They haven't crushed all before them all season as the media would have you believe - they merely hit form a few months ago with all their stellar players turning up.
TNT excelled themselves with that dream team last night - honestly could have found more insight and knowledge in spoons on a Monday morning. Camel gob telling us (I could just make out) that PSG had been playing like this all season, McCoist sounded pissed and talking constantly, but missing the blindingly obvious. Then the half-time panel, fuck me, Slippy G advising Inter to win the second balls and get crosses into the box - how hasn't he got a top managerial job? Glad I don't pay these cunts a penny!

Iptv, one of the best things I ever got

Miguel Delaney's Twitter feed from last night is both funny and illuminating. A load of fans giving him grief about his "State owned/ Sportswashing" tweets by saying "You never said anything about City". Whilst many City fans got riled up by him and had arguments with him (myself included), turns out so many football fans on Twitter didn't even know about his crusade after all...wonder how the book sales went?

Changed channels as soon as Ferdinand piped up.

There are no double standards between City and PSG. Big article this morning in the Spectator about PSG and sports washing with tons of comments about Hamas. City and PSG will always get comments about sports washing.

Bit like this place and every thread now infested by comments about Trump. People can't help themselves.

Sports washing is a myth.
It invites more scrutiny than anything else as it brings the states to the forefront and gives rival fans an and certain media outlets a free hand to criticise and insult (well until people like Rat boy get bought off and decide the place they once criticised is really amazing)

Completely agree on your last point.
Everyone has their own political leanings and is free to express these opinions.
But personally with politics as divisive as they are currently I don’t like it needlessly entering what is typically an apolitical space.

Same here - ditched BT and Sky some time ago. Lost count of the number of times RF said 'PSG are a young side'. He must have an A4 script that says nothing but 'PSG are a young side'. Wow, such wisdom being shared with us mere mortals 'eh.....

When I saw that Slippy G was the go to pundit at half time I thought ...bit odd, he's not anything to do with either club ...then a pop up came up for TNT showing the 2005 CL Final and it all made sense ...time to mute ..

Great listen . Two fans reliving their FA Cup Final victories . Both clubs, Wimbledon and Portsmouth were widely disliked at the time . Different times to now but nothing ever takes these moments away .
