I know this may fall into someone improving in their absence, but the bits I have really liked I see here as well.

His timing of when to make the pass seems really good and by that I mean the second extra he holds on before playing it.

I just have a feeling if him Bobb play on the same team, they will be on the same wave length and some of the play will be superb.

Really hope we do this one, as will bring a real buzz around the place.

People forget that when Lyon played PSG he was the best player on the pitch despite Lyon losing. That should say it all. Individually Cherki isn’t behind anyone in Ligue 1. I think he will not reach a new level but he will be seen more once he plays for us.

The thing with Cherki is that when he's on he has always looks like the best player on the pitch. Even when he was playing alongside Olise in the U21 team in 2023 or alongside Doué and Barcola in 2024 he always looked a level above everyone.
Doué vs Cherki in particular has been one of the most popular debate in France this past season (Akliouche was also included at first but it became about these two only midway through the season).
Obviously Doué has had more opportunities to shine on a bigger stage by account of PSG being so good in the CL but Cherki was better in the league on a far worse team and got a goal or assist every single game against PSG or Marseille even though Paris and Marseille completely dominated us which is usually the kind of game that fits Cherki's game the least : low possession and not much opportunity to create because we struggle to string 3 passes without losing the ball.

How is he thought of in France? I know PSG have incredible talent as we have seen over the last few months but prior to that when they were building this young squad did they ever get strongly linked with him?

A move with psg was a bit complicated, their system dont need a classic 10 and they have bad relationship with his advisor, mbappe's mother.

The ability to thunder up and down the pitch is all well and good, but far too often last season we saw the referee blow his whistle, us kick off, and the opposition retreat en masse to their own half for the duration. Happened at home, happened on the road, and happened with teams from the continent, too. That’s when Cherki and Bobb will earn their keep.
