Club World Cup - Summer 2025

It would be very 'Typical City' to be the only team to have won more CWCs than CLs so I'm all in.

It'd be typical City to completely shit all over Arsenals season right at the death.

Different typical City these days mate.

Got to feel sorry for pep and the players. This is the last thing they wanted after a long season. They’ll be mentally fucked by the start of next season.

Can anyone remember which side of the grounds we’ve got at Philadelphia and Atlanta?
Anyone going to Philadelphia MUST go and see the Liberty Bell - it is a bit bigger than the one that the lady (Helen ?) rang at every Maine Road game.

I'm excited for it. Can't stand the transfer threads and would much rather see us in a tournament than playing pointless friendlies.

After the season we've had it's also a very good way for us to benchmark ourselves against the top teams in Europe, which will reveal how close or far we are from challenging again next season. Gives the board the chance to make definitive moves in the market to address issues as well, with much of the squad on trial!

The runner up in our group will likely play Real Madrid in the knockouts...so not getting too carried away yet!
We can't seem to get away from RealMardarses...

But yes looking forward and have thought since the poor performances last season that it's a chance for Pep to freshen up the tactics.

I for one ( maybe litterally) am really looking forward to it. Regarding games it just replaces shitty preseason games. I would rather be in it than not! This is really being hyped up in the rest of the world, even seen City tops on sale in normal stores in the US.

Come on City...I will be there supporting the boys not bitching and complaining!

Hence your username biggest bestest blue ever ;-)

One of those where if we win the group they'll finish 2nd in theirs and vice versa I'm sure!

Will be good for Pep to get his new ideas across, with some new personnel and for us to iron out the issues we had last season in a more competitive environment.

I think our tactics last season were largely based on improving results. There's not a chance he's enjoyed how we've played, but we needed to start winning games and to stop conceding so many and he managed to find that balance. He won't abandon his obsession with possession based football, but he'll definitely want to see us pass the ball quicker and be more efficient in attack. I'm not someone who believes he's been "worked out" I think that's absolute bollocks personally. It's just we were shite.

Here’s a list of club training sites;

No idea why City will be based in Boca Raton.

I wonder if FIFA is looking to test host sites/cities ahead of the World Cup next summer?

You don't get as long between games as you will in the World Cup so seems a bit pointless heading from Philadelphia to Boca Raton to then head to Atlanta a couple of days later, but probably makes the logistics easier to manage overall.

That’s where I’m headed just down from my hotel as well, onky open Wednesday to Sunday for some reason!
I’ll be going there on the Wednesday night. They’re meant to do the best pizza in Philly too so I will be making two trips. I’m going to eat like an animal for a week.

I know there’s an official city meet up in Philly and Atlanta, but I wonder if there’s any fan meet ups? Be good if we can all get together for a piss up.
