Tino Livramento

Barring Kane, when it comes to buying English talent the club tends to do whatever it takes to bring their targets in. Sterling, Walker and Stones having to deal with Liverpool, Spurs and Everton. Paying the massive release clause for Grealish. Kane was obviously a step too far having to deal with Levy again. I can't see Newcastle being that hard to deal with tbh.

Will be a high fee but again we've seen the club more than willing to pay huge amounts for English players once they've identified them.

Well, there are lots of reasons (spurs stature as a rival, Levy's stature as a ****, their fan bases apoplexy at us recieving their best players, etc).
But, I think the main one is our manager calling Levy out on television as being the main driving force behind the conspiracy that is trying to destroy our club.
Somehow, I believe amicable avenues are closed at this point in time.

Still doesn't mean if we offer they won't respond, even emenies and people with mitial dislome talk sometimes

Levy is all business I doubt he cares about being called out, fans opinion or see us as direct rivals after last season .

If we come calling and the deal suits him he will deal with us

Well, we will see. I predict no player will transfer between the clubs as long as Levy is there.

At a rough guess, Forest would want at least £35m for Aina and Palace would want £50m for Munoz, I'd rather drop the £70m-£80m on Livramento who's 6/7 years younger and better imo.
If we were fully intending to drop 100m on Wirtz + another 150 on other additions then we definitely have the capability of dropping that kind of money on Tino. I hope we do it, I think he and Ait-Nouri complement each other perfectly.

The news has already started to come out that they won't sell unless it's an high fee... Basically admitting they will sell for the right price. Very positive for us imo

Spence at spurs would be a home grown out of nowhere gamble to consider
He’s a weird player, I remember him at Boro and he stank the place up, had a good year at Forrest on loan, got his move to spurs, never got a look in, a couple more loan moves later and he’s having his first decent season in the prem at 24.

I don’t think he’s good enough personally, his stats are skewed by how spurs play as well.

If this is say we value him at 60 but Newcastle say 80 I can see us getting this done for 70 with add ons.

Just need to get the CWC out the way and sell a few players as well.

City will know the ball park fee required to do business - I’m guessing we try to wrap this up in early July or move on… can’t allow Newcastle to drag this out, not good for either club.

Or maybe players going the other way on top of a fee? Grealish or bobb?

Wrong we will pay what it takes to get our targets.

We're not going to pay £80m for a fullback, especially one that isn't even an England international regular yet.

Any English player we buy in the future will have that price benchmark given to us whenever we enquire.

We could bung an extra £20m and put £100m down for Hakimi and Paris would consider if we are willing to pay that for a fullback.

Think we are more likely to buy the 19 year old fullback from Porto and let him be registered on the u21 list.

A right back isn't going to be the difference between us winning the league and not.

To who? This guy is the perfect profile and hes homegrown
Don't disagree but if we're talking £80m plus for an all summer saga with a club that doesnt want to sell, for a RB, then get your second target. Worked out alright with Dias/Rodri etc who weren't first choice targets when we signed them. We moved on from Maguire and Jorginho...some acting like it's Livramento or bust when it clearly isn't.

Is he "the perfect profile" or is he just a homegrown full back?

He seems like he has the potential to be a top player but hes not nailed down the right back spot, where we want to play him, for Newcastle

Sees like his performances at LB after Hall got injured were superior to that at Right Back

He's not an international or a established pro

He really struggled last year at Newcastle because Trippier was better than him. Not sure he became first choice this year because he jsut got THAT much better or because Trippier was 34 and well...Trippier

Again, I wanna highlight how id love him to join us but £80mil is absolutely ridiculous for a good full back who had a solid but unspectacular season
