I can only assume you don’t watch the games cos if you did you’d have seen that Bernardo’s more ineffective games were on the right mid/wing which is not his position but he played there cos Pep wanted him to for more ball possession and control. Tail end of the season where he played deeper and more central mid he was excellent

I think next season Bernardo (contract will end), kovacic and someone like akanji will probably leave.

That frees up the 2 spaces and I wouldn’t be surprised to see us move again for mgw to replace Bernardo. He will have 1 year on contract then I believe

I honestly think Akanji is no option anymore. He needs rest and was horrible as a RB. Nunes is the best option and I don’t know about Khusanov playing RB. If he‘s charged to backup Cb/ RB then the club should sell akanji since it wouldn’t make sense to keep him if Khusanov can take his role.

I guess what I mean by akanji at rb is I see against the better sides city playing with an almost 3 at the back with ait Nouri pushing on. So while akanji would technically be deployed as the rb he would really be more of a rcb.

I agree on khusanov I would rather he gets the minutes but I’m trying to think how pep sees it and he clearly loves akanji

I thought Nunes did well there once he got accustomed to the position, a goal and a few assists too.

I only watch City regularly so I couldn’t say. He’s no Hakimi but then who is. I am sure of one thing if the choice is Nunes or Livramento for £80m plus I’d stick with Nunes
