Tino Livramento

Don't know if this will come I to it at all, but as we get into the last 2 weeks of the 2nd transfer window some clubs will start to worry about PSR. Some fees might come down and some clubs might let HG players go for the full PSR fee benefit.

Livramento isnt for Newcastle, but they'd still get a big fee. Other young players could become available though who we might not think would be.

Again, I don't disagree and "the Algerian" is already signed and just waiting for an announcement so half the revolution is secured.

However, I refuse to accept that our new sporting director only has one iron in the fire for the position. Paying £80m for a RB is straddling the line of unpalatable and mental, and thats without having to deal with an unwilling seller.

As I said in an earlier post, missing out on Jorginho got us the Balon D'Or winner, there are more right backs to consider in world football that will immediately improve us.
There might be another right back that fits the bill but he won’t meet the home grown quota, its worth paying extra for that.

Thought Id read somewhere he was. Could be an alternative backup option, tbh I prefer him currently.
its a smart/easy pivot. Losing both FBs for the 6 week AFCON though around xmas/new year

Age means you can probably grab a Martim Fernandes/Wesley next window to understudy ready to take over

Only issue is, we don't really have the flexibility for it in our squad registration at the moment. Need about 4 or 5 sales/loans. Unless you leave them out of the CL and play them in the PL, which is what Fernandes would qualify for.

Livramento just ticks every box except the ease of doing the transfer.

we do, Aina would just take a HG spot (likely for Jack)

the NON HG understudy wouldn't be till next year where you can lose an Akanji/Nunes for him who ever has to be the make-do cover again.

Maybe offer them a pick off Grealish Lewis Savinho Mcatee Phillips Nunes or a couple off

I'll be astonished if we make him the most expensive full back in history, especially considering how prudent we have been in the market so far this summer.

I think we will bide our time if need be. A right back isn't going to be the difference between us winning the league and not.

savinho? Weird.

Why Weird

I don't see City and Pep playing with wingers at all next season, fullbacks will be used to push up and support the attackers, I think Doku is the better winger, So Savinho will not get much game time

I think we’ll be pushing for a better deal than what people are expecting. Like we’ve done with the 3 already signed.

Plus probably trying to send a player there in return as we have plenty to get rid of.
