Tino Livramento

Together with the Algerian they would revolutionise our full back positions and ease our home grown quota. Who else can do that?
Again, I don't disagree and "the Algerian" is already signed and just waiting for an announcement so half the revolution is secured.

However, I refuse to accept that our new sporting director only has one iron in the fire for the position. Paying £80m for a RB is straddling the line of unpalatable and mental, and thats without having to deal with an unwilling seller.

As I said in an earlier post, missing out on Jorginho got us the Balon D'Or winner, there are more right backs to consider in world football that will immediately improve us.

Would be a good addition but crazy money and to be honest Levy is such a c#nt I wouldn't want to hand him that much cash.

Let them rot in their player revolt and get relegated trying to play champs league with that squad.

Does anyone really see this in reality.. hard to imagine unless Newcastle gets into some unexpected PSR trouble (again). They seem to have that under control this summer though.

We may have had a chance if they missed out on CL as much as I’d like it to happen I doubt it will

Not really. We need a homegrown player. This lad would solve the right back problem for the next 10 years and he’s brilliant.

Is he "the perfect profile" or is he just a homegrown full back?

He seems like he has the potential to be a top player but hes not nailed down the right back spot, where we want to play him, for Newcastle

Sees like his performances at LB after Hall got injured were superior to that at Right Back

He's not an international or a established pro

He really struggled last year at Newcastle because Trippier was better than him. Not sure he became first choice this year because he jsut got THAT much better or because Trippier was 34 and well...Trippier

Again, I wanna highlight how id love him to join us but £80mil is absolutely ridiculous for a good full back who had a solid but unspectacular season
He’s absolutely quality mate. He nailed down the right back spot and then switched to left back brilliantly once Hall was injured.

The consensus seems to be they have to sell to buy. You never know but I think they’ll want more then we’ll be willing to pay.

I think after the CWC we'll end up getting him for £65m or so, they paid £35m and some bonuses.

Can't see it personally, unless Newcastle need it for PSR. If they don't, they have CL, they have money and probably have title ambitions next season, at least in theory. Why sell to a rival.

Think Newcastle will let Gordon go rather than this lad. Barnes came in and took the LW spot of him end of the season.

who will be in for him ?

previously it was Liverpool, but now i don't see them coming in for him with Wirtz acquisition

Well Gordon was injured + they only have 3 wingers? Also Barnes is injury prone. They still looking for a 4th reliable one. Their last season was bad because they wasn’t stacked enough. Livramento would be a good addition but I just don’t see it. Maybe the club has to go for 2nd choice HG goalkeeper instead.

Indeed he is, I've been calling for us to go after him for a couple of seasons, not really expecting Newcastle to part with him

But it's worth trying if they're in a position where they need to sell players.

He would probably be top of my list if we could have any young English player that can play for us for years.
