Pep Ljinders appointed as assistant coach | James French joins as set-piece coach (p15)

Well Klopp our next manager after pep then

Can you imagine the outrage and hate this would draw from the Scousers? I'd love it

Ljinders was rumoured to be the main guy who made the dipper players press and work hard etc? Why would we not want that? It had become too stale in the backroom department and this shake up was required to challenge Pep again.
Rumored by whom? That surely comes from the manager. His short stints as a manager have failed quite spectacularly not once but twice now.

Pep wanted a refresh, that happens with whoever new comes in. As I have previously said, I'm not against this, if this is peps 1st choice I'm fully onboard. the assistant is ultimately there to keep pep happy and getting his first choice should ensure that, I just don't buy this idea he's some kind of mastermind when he's failed everytime he's been head coach.

He looks fully recovered. Last year was a nightmare in so many ways. It’s easy to forget that in addition to everything else Pep underwent major back surgery and a marriage break-up. He is an incredible leader for our club. We need to enjoy every (sometimes crazy) moment because we will never see his like again.
All that overthinking tires him out.

Oh it is.

Go on X if you can be arsed?

It's f*cking absolute meltdown from the Cult because their ex-coach has joined Pep and City.

LFC illegal hacking pay back time. :-)
Not on there thankfully but I have no doubt that's 100% true and it makes it worthwhile alone.

Think Walker was tapping Gabriel on the arm repeatedly before he scored from the corner at the Etihad in September. Completely lost him and and it ends up in the net.
That may well have been Walkers fault rather than the coaches..
I don't think we were particualrly bad at conceding from set pieces most of the year . Our goals conceded were more often losing the ball in midfield. We weren't great at scoring from them either but I don't think many teams are, and it may be partly down to individual ability Not sure we have anyone as good at attacking headers as Van Djick or Gabriel.

Remember when dippers were posting a few seasons back that Pep was just a transient cheque book manager but Goofy was a ‘custodian’ of the magical institution that is LFC. More delusion emerges today.

The memory of the data base hack seems to be forgotten and It certainly means more…. again.

From a Liverpool fans FB site.

“No official name has emerged yet to replace French, but Liverpool aren’t just plugging a gap. They’re redesigning the pipeline — from youth recruitment to first-team data flow. This isn’t about replacing one analyst. It’s about upgrading the entire machine that powers football intelligence at the club.

Because while other clubs react, Liverpool restructure.
We don’t panic when a part is removed — we build something stronger in its place”
They really are a cult, aren't they?

The numbers are pretty telling. Only two teams in the Premier League last season scored fewer set piece goals than us, and only two scored fewer counterattack goals

We were the top scorers from non-counter attack open play situations. So we’re looking to address the deficiencies on transitions and dead balls
