It's Quiet the £250m return

It's been a fun start to the window, feel like we've added a lot of young, exciting talent - including the Jan signings. And we've moved quickly which we haven't done in recent seasons.

Assuming Reinjders is announced soon, guessing business now shifts to the outgoings? I've never been a star pupil but if my math(s) is corrects, it looks like we'd need to move a few before we can sign any more non-HG players. For the 17 non-HG spots we have:

1) Eddie
2) Ortega
3) Nunes
4) Dias
5) Gvardiol
6) Khusanov
7) Akanji
8) Ait Nouri
9) Rodri
10) Nico G
11) Gundo
12) Bernie
13) Kovacic
14) Reindeers
15) Cherki
16) Savinho
17) Doku
18) Marmoush
19) Haaland

Reis and Bah are still U21, I think.

So this will be the non-fun part of the window. Assuming Grealish, McAtee, Stones (?), and some of the others will be on their way as well.
This is the key part now, and quite obvious why we need to be purchasing a home grown right back, so people expecting a foreign one like Wesley etc are likely to be wrong, unless Viana is going to be incredibly ruthless.

Looking at that list I’d say these are the ones under threat:

Bernie
Gundo
Kova
Akanji
Nunes

One from left field I suppose could be Savio, who maybe could be farmed out on loan?

Is the goalkeeper we signed from Chelsea, non hg?

Relax. It's done.

Tolmie you heard anything about Gibbs white? My brothers friend is a forest fan and their itk is saying that he's refusing to sign an extension and the same thing that happened at Wolves is happening now at Forest with him.

Apparently there was clear communication with him in January between Gibbs white and Forest, now he's just not entertaining any conversations with their board and the relationship is strained.

Think we've bought fantastically well so far. All three will give us so much quality and creativity.

Someone also pointed out that all three have fantastic availability too. After last seasons injury crisis we need players that can consistently play every three days and these look to be able to do that.

Suspect we'll see mostly outgoings now with a RB coming in later depending on who they can get. As well as Nunes did towards the end of the season you still need a specialist RB there over the course of a season.

I guess this is how we can get him if we want. The fear of losing him on pennies when forest themselves are under PSR pressure would be a big risk. Announce I wont sign a deal, sell me now or risk me losing for free and suddenly forest bring down the valuation to a doable 50-60 million Euros.

I mentioned this in the Reijnders thread but we are sorted for midfield for this season and we should keep both Kovacic and Gundogan. RB is the priorty despite Nunes' showing he is a capable player, and although there is nothing wrong with Livarmento's ability that is not doable target and should really look for alternatives.

How will we make room for RB especially if he is not homegrown and we don’t move Kovacic and Gundogan ?

We could move either or both Akanji and Ake instead if it is required along with Kyle Walker. If the intention was to move Gundogan on we wouldn't have played him to trigger his clause for a new deal. And Kovacic was one of our better of performers last season and has earned that chance to stay.
