President Trump

I think that Trump or whomever runs as the Republican candidate for president in 2028 will lose the election. At which point I think that America will radically change policies both domestic and foreign - and will - at least for the following 4 years - be far more democratic.

However, the balance between authoritarianism and democracy in America is on a knife's edge - I foresee America flip-flopping between MAGA-like authoritarianism and democracy every 4 to 8 years for the foreseeable future.
The democrat president must move very decisively to:
1. Limit the money donated to candidates in elections.
2. Reform the voting laws to prevent jerrymandering and other methods of vote denial practised by the Republicans
3. Restore rights conferred by Roe v Wade.
4. Restore the balance on SCOTUS, reform the ethical rules thereof, introduce term limits.
Then, and only then will the USA have a chance to return to democracy.

True. That said, scenarios in which the US constitution changes within the next 50 years or so, would require a civil war with the winning side (temporarily) banning losing states from voting. And that's - IMO - not going to happen within our lifetimes.
Yup, as unlikely as a rag title.

Just a reminder that the average reading age in the UK is 9 years old... so we're not much better. And you're correct ... right wing governments don't like an educated population which is why they always wage war on Colleges and Universities .
Wow, who believe at my age I'm above the average reading age, as long as my mum washes my hair with Vosene, before I read the sentences out loud to her, tbf I still prefer the pictures. God bless mum's.

Next 6 months he invades Greenland I guarantee it, he’s just blundering from one thing to the next, when the economy is in the shitter due to tariffs to deflect from that he will invade.

I wonder if they will start to change their constitution if democrats get back in to stop this sort of shit show happening again, the president has grown far too powerful for one person.
I think they have to seriously consider adding consequences to their rules. Too many are purely based on ethics and the expectation that the president is virtuous and will do the right thing. If he doesnt there is no enforcement mechanism. That needs to change.
