PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

what did the triangle say to the circle?
you are pointless.

the sheepdog gets the sheep into the pen.
the farmer asks the dog how many sheep there are.
the dog says 90.
the farmer counts them and says there's only 88.
the sheepdog replies
you told me to round them up.

there are 3 types of people in this world.
those who can count and those who can't.

There are 10 types of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those that don't.

I’m really interested in this concept of ‘sports washing’ This term had never been in existence prior to City and PSG.

I’m baffled that essentially a political idea has been taken as ‘the truth’ Is it merely anti capitalism? Pro so called ‘human rights?’ Pro more legislation?

We are told constantly that we are living in an international economy, so a foreign investor putting funds into a football club is is no different then in any other industry. One could argue that ‘human rights’ is a post WW2 invention created by the west. Again, I thought we were told that we as a country are inclusive of people from different walks of life, including what might be described as collectivist countries, In terms of being pro legislation, I thought city were the only supporter of an independent regulator.

Let’s imagine that the UAE wanted to clean its ‘image’ (which I don’t believe they need to as a sovereign country - they are entitled to run affairs in ways they see fit) but surely there would be far more effective ways of doing that than buying a football club.

I really don’t think it’s been challenged enough at all.

It’s a load of old bollox. If the media really gave a shit they would challenge the decades long Emirates sponsorship of Arsenal, the Saudi Telecom sponsorship of the rags, the blood money dips sponsorship by Standard Chartered aka the money launders favourite bank etc

We are targeted because we have pushed the red cartel plus Spuds nose out of the trough. And we are on the rag’s doorstep which for the media is sacrilege.

USA and UK had the Guantanamo Bay torture chamber. Quote that to the pricks who use the phrase.

Anyway , corned beef Thoughts
There's a few lads work in a meat processing factory near where my daughter lives.
I've seen them around occasionally and they wear Fray Bentos football jerseys.
The locals thought it was because they worked in the meat factory until the lads explained that Fray Bentos was the town where they used to live.
They are football nutcases

Believe me, folks, it's going to be a tremendous year for City. A really, really tremendous year. We're talking about winners. They're going to win the Premier League next year, and they're going to win it bigly.
You know, I've always said, you look at what's happening, you see the talent. The talent at City is unbelievable. Nobody has talent like them. They have the best players, truly the best. And they're going to bring in even more, tremendous players. People are saying, "Where do they find these guys?" Well, they find them, and they make them winners. That's what they do.
Some people, they talk about other teams. They talk about Arsenal, they talk about Liverpool. Sad! Very, very sad! They had their moments, you know, a little bit. But not like City. City is built differently. They have a winning culture, a winning mentality. It's like building a beautiful building, the best building, with the finest materials. That's Manchester City. The others? Not so much. They're like small, tiny houses. Nobody wants that.
And the manager, Pep, he's a genius. A total genius. People say he's the best, and they're right. He knows how to win. He’s got that winning instinct. He takes his players, he makes them great. And they respect him, tremendous respect. When you have that, you have everything.
So, next year, mark my words. It's not even a question. City will be lifting that trophy. And it won't be close. It'll be a landslide. A beautiful, beautiful landslide. They're going to make history, again. And it's going to be something to behold. You watch. You'll see. It's going to be great.
Or we will win the cup for cock-ups
