Priced out? | Club announce that matchday tickets being reduced by up to 43% (p93)

Hate to put a downer on what is being perceived as good news but what about all the ticket reseller sites? Will they still sell the tickets they receive at hugely inflated prices or not and will they receive more to sell once the new stand is operational?

Next step is to remove this ludicrous 10 game attendance nonsense.

As long as a decent amount of the extended stand tickets go onsale to Matchday buyers there shouldn't be much of a market for reseller sites, the Flexi gold returns have improved availabilty for match day tickets this season which are only supposed to getting hospitality tickets to sell anyway I thought.

Fair play and well done to those involved didn’t think the club would have listened, not being negative but let’s see how it’s reported probably with the narrative they had to reduce to sell out the ground..

Some tickets are being held back.

Not all tickets will go on sale at the start of the season like previous seasons.

Fantastic this is actually a huge move by City. There is a lot of collusion in the league with price fixing by certain clubs. This is another sign we are not going to put up with the cartel behaviour and will run as we see fit not for the benefit of others.
Credit to the fan groups as well!

A prime example that action taken by the fans vs Leicester and Wolves had an effect.

However there are still major issues in play that havent been resolved - the 10 game "you must be there personally" blanket Season Ticket policy, the limitations on ticket transfers and the multiple ticket partners to name a few.
Yes, a real understanding of customer needs is required. I have been astonished by the fact that there is no exec specifically charged with ‘customer’ responsibility in most clubs. Football is still a mass consumer business.
Health issues mean I can’t go at the mo, but I could attend very occasionally given a two day round trip and a hotel to rest up in. Reduced ticket prices go some way to making it possible financially.

I was falling out of love of going to matches. 70quid to watch a fucking boring park the buse team.

Now 45quid bring it on buzzing for next season. I was 99% sure I would never go ago because of tickets prices.

Thank you City
I think a lot of people were/are thinking similar. Our match day ticket prices have been horrendous and as a result, it’s priced out huge numbers of our fans. Hopefully this makes a difference and allows more people to come back to attending matches

Be interesting to know if there's going to more price differences between blocks for matchday members, rather than just the stand.

CB1 and EL1 have 7 different price bands in season tickets. Some areas would be cheaper match by match than a season ticket

id guess loads have dropped cup schemes
cl being main one too many games and no chance of final tickets

I think a lot of people have dropped the cup schemes.

More than the club thought would.

I maybe tempted back into the CL cup scheme now if CL ticket prices are going to be cheaper than last season?

Wow!

Fair play to Sheikh Mansour, Khalddon and the directors.

They have listened to the fans.

Hopefully this new relationship and open dialogue between the club and the fans will continue.
Really good news and like you say well done to the club for fixing this. But it wouldn’t have happened without the work behind the scenes of City Matters, 1894 and the excellent protests.

Also, clear, straightforward and upfront information. Pretty much what Khaldoon promised in his end of season update.

It should certainly mean it will be easy for us to fill the stadium as the extra capacity becomes available.
