Priced out? | Club announce that matchday tickets being reduced by up to 43% (p93)

I participated in the protests so I hope we helped.

I mention Kevin Parker because of the attempts to get a pile on going against him.

How many posters will apologise about the misinformation (I’m being very generous here) about the Scandinavian supporters club.

We all get things wrong from time to time and I’m certainly in that boat.

We all did.

CM should have acknowledged that. It was a defining moment. It changed the narrative. And the thinking of Sheikh Mansour and Khalddon.

Not to mention the fans at all and the effect the fans protests had on the directors is very poor in my opinion.

This is not pop at the CMR. Without the fans protests, which from memory were never wholly supported by all the CMR, I don't think the CMR would have had as much leverage with the directors as they did have.

I don't think there has been a pile on against Kevin Parker. Some posters have expressed their opinions of him. The vast majority of BM posters have thanked CMR, which includes Kevin Parker. Scroll back on the thread.

The Scandinavian supporters club issue is a different matter all together. I haven't been involved in that, so I won't comment on it.

Thanks JRB. Just great news on the ticket reductions. Congrats everyone who contributed

It would be nice to think that Soriano and Wilson have had their wings clipped for causing this issue in the first place. Wilson in particular should know better given a lot of fans who knew him in his more junior roles seemed to think highly of him and him having a fan friendly disposition

Over the last few years I have felt pushed out by city.
Not wanted.
Priced out.
As I said on here before still have my ticket but a mates using it again next season.
But after today's news I feel the club have listened to the fans.
Thanks to those who organized the protests.
I can't wait to get back watching my club

Kevin Parker doesn’t help himself his twitter feed today has been a joke. Please don’t pretend he is an angel.

Don't you need to be a member to buy one anyway ?

Usually yeah. But I think a couple of games at the backend of last season went on open sale.

I think European games quite often do as well. But I don’t think they’ve made any commitment on prices to anyone about those.

I'm now an ex season card holder
My SC was in block 104 and the price was frozen at £920 for this season, an average of £51 per game
The seat was the second most expensive "plastic" seat in the stadium. Only the Colin Bell L1 costing more

Looking at the new match day prices, I've read these as being £40-£60 in the equivalent seat as my former SC
Is that right and is it fair on SC holders?

I don’t think until they’ve announced which games are in which category, you can accurately work it out.

If you guessed it’ll be something like

6 X Cat. A
9 X Cat. B
4 X Cat. C

The dearest seats would work out at £1,055 if a member bought one for every game. Plus their membership fee of course, whatever that is.

When I was standing in the concourse with all the others, missing the first few minutes of those two games, it was a protest I willingly took part in without any real belief it would make any difference to the way City were gouging us for money at every opportunity.

This news has come as very welcome surprise, so a big thanks to all those involved in getting the club to open their ears and actually listen to the genuine concerns of the supporters.

It's very welcome, great work by City Matters but I honestly think they'd have no power if it wasn't for the other fan groups; 1894, the MCFC food bank, trade union blues and the match going fans protesting. Great work all around.

If I had to be a little bit negative though, they could announce the CL pricing as well.
Seed 1 Group stage price.
Seed 2
Seed 3
Seed 4
Last 16 etc...
If it follows the Cat ABC structure, then just let us know.

It's one of the reasons I've knocked the cup scheme on the head.
