All the best teams in Europe and South America are there, except perhaps Barca who didn't qualify. I honestly think it will be fantastic and will be the start of a new competition that grows and grows to eventually rival the CL. The standard will be much higher than the vast majority of international matches, especially meaningless England games against Andorra and Slovenia. Wait till the later stages. City v Real Madrid or River Plate would be tasty. The PL clubs and their pundit fans who are carping from the sidelines about the CWC are just being left behind. Look what happened to MUFC when they became fixated on the past.

I think it’s great. Better than a meaningless friendly. Some top teams competing.
It’s only a joke competition because the rags and dips ain’t in it. That will change in due course but for now yeah sure it’s a micky mouse cup blah blah blah.

So, you're saying that this is like Munich vs. Macclesfield, but with all Maccs' best players injured? That was a comparison given on Faceache from some 'football group' ...no reason to not believe it, they must get the figures from somewhere, and the Auckland one was same as commentator said.

But players break is after it. I thought for every (country) World Cup it’s always counted as part of the preceding season (?), and players have their break after those too.
Happy to be corrected, but I’d always thought it was that way around …

I managed to register on my iPad yesterday and today I did the same on my TV. It was a complete pain in the arse to do thanks to the cranky interface on my (allegedly) smart TV.

Not watched anything but but we've had a dull 0-0 followed by a 10-0 trounching that was probably just as dull due to how one-sided it was.
