Wallop. Some finish that
Think we should do better and replace that last lineBernardooooooooooooo Silva,
Running down the wing, Silva
Makes the blue boys sing, Silva,
We're all going to Madrid!
So is Martinez using him as Kanté/ Milner too? That’s just how Bernardo plays. If Pep stopped using him as Kante/James Milner, he will be joy to watch playing with Cherki
Not true. He's a winner and has contributed a lot here but the truth is we could have gotten so much more from him if Pep had taken a little bit more risk with himSo is Martinez using him as Kanté/ Milner too? That’s just how Bernardo plays.
Bernardo just doesn't have the physicality to be a risk taker anymore. He has never had the vision or the passing skills of Gundogan or Rodri (not to mention KDB), but now that he has lost a lot of his physicality (and as a consequence his dribbling forward skill), this Bernardo will be next season Bernardo.Bit tough to judge Bernardo on last season as he was a victim of our tactics.
The more cautionary style of play last year, as we were more tactically focused on preventing transitions negatively impacted Bernardo’s game. Too many square balls, slowing play down and recycling possession.
Having Rodri back, a more box to box midfielder should hopefully allow the positives of his game to come to the fore, the clever, intelligent player we have seen regularly across previous seasons.

He was already the most risk-averse player in the second half of 23/24 season. It's not only last season.
I like him as a squad member, but I worry that he is Pep's favorite by far and he will play more than his level deserves. I don't think there is a world where he should start ahead of Cherki, Reijnders, Kovacic, Gonzales and Foden (if he comes back to his previous level). I don't mention Rodri because he does everything Bernardo does better than him, and then he does 20 other things Bernardo cannot do anymore.
great news.Has basically confirmed he's leaving next summer. Seems like he's planning to run his contract down and leave on a free. In that case, fair play to him. Will have been here nine years by the time he goes and what a player he's been.
