PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

That article is a template for what will be written when we are cleared of the substantive charges if the club continues with its effete approach to the media. It’s replete with lies, misrepresentations and innuendo.

I hope the club gets a fucking backbone to deal with shit like this when the verdict lands, although I’m not holding my breath.
After all the coverage (and some of it very detailed) this case has had, that anyone could be so mind meltingly thick as to attribute the ‘delay’ in its publication to a meaningless thought-blurt like ‘legal red tape’, is truly incredible. A goldfish with a blob of ice cream for a brain would offer more insight. I truly hope we have a post verdict ‘list’ and that that wanker is on it

He’s obviously got no idea what he’s talking about, as usual but, where he starts to get even more confused that usual, is when he bangs on about ‘domination’. Even Sky, TNT and the BBC have understood that City winning 4 on the trot but going to the last game twice and the last 4 games once, is far more interesting to the viewing public than what happened last season.

Also, he got that skip full of shite through a sub editor and an editor as well…

We tortured them when we took it to the last game, keep believing, looking like we’re down & out then Kev ties his laces & it’s over ;)

He also mentions ‘net spend’ but, like many others to be fair, completely discounts prize money.
We got €50M more than they got, after we won in Istanbul. We almost always get more than everyone else due to our coefficient payments as well but, in typical bitter fashion, they don’t ever let facts get in the way of their mawkishness…

Spot on. We should have come out with a firm statement after the CAS verdict pointing out the result, why they came to that outcome and that anyone who published anything that suggested otherwise (e.g., that we only got off on a 'technicality' or because everything was time-barred) would face a legal challenge.

I like to think we took that snake Conn to task after his appalling nonsense about us supposedly choosing two of the three judges. For an intelligent man to write that showed how far he and the Guardian had sunk, and drifted away from their 'facts are sacred' mantra. And do it publicly, naming and shaming, not behind closed doors and NDAs.
Magic Twat was still saying only yesterday that we chose two of the three judges

City aren't suing anyone. We've got better and more pressing issues to deal with than giving two fucks about what drunken ex footballers and hacks think. The best form of revenge is and always has been winning. That's what we do best, and that's what causes the meltdowns and the toys to be thrown out by these clowns. The records, the trophies, the signings, the infostructure building, the knowledge that every manager the owners have brought in has won the title, and so on, means that this is a never ending nightmare for certain people who spend way too much time thinking about us, rather than the other way round. We don't need to sue anyone. Our very presence, success, and very existence at the top of the table already achieves the desired goal.

Being cleared of the charges will be hilarious when the meltdowns take on a whole new level of cringe.
I believe there is no chance our owners will take legal action against the UK press in this matter. It's a battle they cannot win.

So according to Stefan's substack we are not getting even the initial liability decision until 2026 and possibly until the end of the season? I was led to believe this was an imminent, few weeks left type deal

No idea why anybody is getting upset by the article. The Sunday World is an Irish tabloid - sort of like the sunday papers that have gone extinct in England.

I would be surprised if Aldridge had anything to do with it other than pick up a check every Monday.

It’s an article written for their cartel simpleton readership - I would say AI - but then I’m not sure the Sunday World will have a grasp over AI technology for another 20 years or so.

And we won’t be suing anybody. We’ve had the same shite written about us for 15 years and not sued anybody so I’m pretty sure that gives an indication we won’t start now.

He doesn't say that. He said it's quite possible that the whole process of liability and any subsequent sanction hearing won't be completed until 2026. But if there's no liability, there's no sanction.

They will I am sure have sought legal advice on this matter which will have informed decision making. This advice I assume is on par with legal guidance received in relation to the charges which hopefully will prove to be highly successful when findings are eventually disclosed.

No member of the UAE royalty, government, or any UAE-owned company has ever filed a libel case against a British newspaper — and our case is far from the worst.

The day City sue anyone in the media the narrative will change to City trying to suppress the truth and we all know why! Because we are guilty of everything we are accused of an more. In UAE they might get away with suppressing people's free speech but here in the UK the press won't be cowed. You will immediately make a hero of Nick Harris or Magic Hat.

We've already had a little bit of this with the accusations from a few seasons ago that Khaldoon was radicalizing fans and creating shills like City Rabin

In the Special Theory of Relativity, Einstein determined that time is relative—in other words, the rate at which time passes depends on your frame of reference
