It's Quiet the £250m return

For this season he would be valuable cover and we can thenlet him go on a free. The only problem is we can't really heavily rely on him but he had shown in the run in he could still do a job.
Yes, I think he's a player who, at this point in his career, will greatly benefit from playing limited minutes.

Think there’s too much mutual respect.

He wants to play as much as possible and we aren’t leading him on. It’s also financially viable for us to let him go and spend those wages elsewhere.

Anywhere he goes will be on a free despite being under contract for a year

If we go into next season with Akanji at right back I'll slap some sleeping **** on a train

When we saw Khusanov at the center back or right back.. his distribution often reminded me of a right footed Laporte.

He's also got those accurate long diagonal passes.. so hopefully he gets the gig!

We activated his clause to renew his contract for another season and if the intention was to move him on sooner we would have used him sparingly during the run in last season and allowed him to go free this summer. Besides that we would have left him in Manchester and not taken him to CWC if we didn't intend to use him this season.

Even if true, doesn't really mean anything.

Still part of Pep's plans if they are involved in CWC. Keeping the depth is key.
Quite possibly, and absolutely fair on the CWC. A long way till September though, so let's see where we are then.

Ultimately, 3 NHG players WILL need to leave. Not including Echeverri, but Reis perhaps as one of them on loan. AND that's without bringing any more in.
