PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I suppose it’s all perception. All the pubs in Withington, the Albert, the White Lion, the Vic, the Orion, The Old House, were very Irish with lots of trad music etc. The Red Lion was students. Fallowfield was also very Blue and very Irish. I worked in Levy for three years and it seemed to be mostly City then. That was the late 70s early 80s. Of course I am an atheist now and glad all the religious baggage has faded.
That’s a decent pub crawl!!

Nice one no one is suggesting members of the catholic faith, from Collyhurst Moston, Leve, or Dublin even cannot support the best club in the world. Simply that Utd have strong ties and historical connections to the Catholic Church. I believe all faiths
Muslims, Jews, triffids, whatever are welcome at our blue church !
May you be touched by his noodly appendage...

Arguing about religion is like arguing my fairy tale is more truthful than your fairy tale. Also, the people who fight in the name of religion are just fools who are prepared to kill over a fairy tale. Anyone want to fight Hans Christian Anderson or Enid Blyton;-)
But can all those involved please start their own thread in Off Topic and take it there?

Why. This thread is a font of knowledge, from dating Miss World to corned beef and other informative posts. Who some may view as meaningless. But to others it is education and who would deny education in a thread about hot air, bluster and no ITK information whatsoever in over 105,000 posts other than a panel has sat and are now writing up their findings. Join in the fun blue mc, cos you won't learn anything about the thread title in this thread other than City have been charged, plus it makes the day go quicker;-)

I’d fancy my chances against Enid.
Anyway enough of this bollocks… let’s get back to the corned beef discussion.

Snap, that song has always resonated with me. The only other song that can send goosebumps up and down my arms every time is "The Sound of Silence" cover by Disturbed.
Another Bowie song that can do that for me is 'Quicksand' on the 'Hunky Dory' album and what an album that is. It's sometimes difficult to choose which is my favourite album, that or '...Ziggy Stardust...'

And yet the strong Irish communities of Moss Side, Levenshulme, Gorton, Withington, Fallowfield were dominated by City fans and so was my Catholic School. Chorlton was split 50/50 and the Catholic Polish community in Brooks Bar mostly followed City. This was in the 60s and 70s. Your analysis is exaggerated.
I grew up in Gorton and Levenshulme. Gorton was at least 80% blue, The tight streets around Cross Street were largely skilled Working Class English with only a handful of Irish (and Scots) families though they grew in number as you headed towards Gorton Monastery, West Gorton and Openshaw. Clayton was practically all red. Almost all my Levy mates were Irish decent and amongst the lads who hung around in Johnny’s Cafe were lots of match going Reds maybe 70/30 reds to blues. Religion was never a big deal but loads of Catholic priests had season tickets at Old Trafford in those days !

My mates dad,who lived at Withenshawe, who, when giving us directions to Maine Road, used to say ,turn left at United supporters club(Catholic Church)

While im still hopeful there is an invisible highest entity in the sky waiting for us to inform us whether we been naughty or nice, it almost makes me feel like a scale jumping up and down from day to day. Woe is me.
