Unless Madrid don’t win their group. We might play them if we finish top we might play them if we finish second we could well beat Juventus finish top,and play them ,think we are better than Juventus. If we play Madrid we play Madrid. Who knows ,wouldn’t worry about it.
 
The Brazilian ref who sent Rico off is at it again. He's reffing Real Madrid v Pachuca and he's given an early red card to Madrid's Asencio - lthough this one was justified.

'Madness! Real Madrid centre-back Raul Asencio is sent off!
It's awful football from Madrid as new signing Dean Huijsen plays Salomon Rondon onside, and, just before he gets into the box, last-man Asencio drags him to the ground.
No hesitation from the referee, and no arguments from Madrid'.

We can meet any team in the final. We don't know what side of the draw we will be on yet.
Whether we meet them en route depends on whether we come first or second in our group.
If we both win our groups or both come second we can meet in the semi final.
If one wins their group and the other comes second we can only meet in the final.

I'm really getting into the idea of a club World Cup now. Pity it's so exhausting for the players. That aside, I think it's a great idea and think the players/clubs will too (not just for the money).
I believe it has a great chance as becoming more popular/prestigious than the World Cup if both are played for every 4 years.
The legacy media have done their best to belittle/ignore it but towards the latter stages it will become must watch viewing (as with national competitions). Especially, as a Mancunian I can still identify with my club whereas I no longer recognise my country as the one I grew up in and have no allegiance to it.

The dinosaurs in the English media have made fools of themselves as usual. They are fixated on the past like so many of our politicians. No wonder the press and broadcasters are mostly failing commercially. They seem incapable of change and modernisation. The entire concept of BBC Sport is flawed. They don't broadcast any images from our national sport apart from the hoplelessly outdated Match of the Day. They don't have coverage of the PL, CL, most international matches, the Championship, not even non-league football, no foreign football, and no Club World Cup. A joke of an organisation. The BBC has faded as football has grown into a global success. And yet we have to pay for this sub-standard coverage.

I seem to recall reading the UK press dismissed the original International world cup as a fad as well.

It’s quite hard to worry about his competition. Players could do with a bit of rest anyway before the season.
 
Gotta beat Juve to be #1 now!

1 more goal and we could have gone through as #1 with a draw!

Regardless, RB Salzburg & Real Madrid will know who will be 1 and 2 in our group and who they want to face!

If we end up 2nd, the Madrid DRAW or WIN means we play them.

If we beat Juve, we go 1st, so Madrid would have to LOSE to play us!

In short, if we WIN against Juve, Madrid would have to LOSE to face us in the Round of 16!

Haaland could have made it 10 all by himself, but he was not alone in missing gilt-edged chances to put it waaaay out of sight!
