Tino Livramento

hilarious that Livramento has now become the best RB ever and without him we can’t possibly compete.

Nunes betters him across several aspects but won’t get an ounce of credit for some reason.

Newcastle don’t want to sell, the lad isn’t pushing it and we aren’t going to put 100m on the table.

We can’t mate as against against top sides will get smashed and they will aim to expose him . We have finally got a left back in so let’s not go down that path again because we will regret it if we don’t .
We have akanji who will play rb against the better teams. Imo there's not much in it between nunes and livremento defensively just is it really worth 70/80m

If sticking with Nunes, then I think we need to back him. Dropping him for Akanji, whose limitations in that position were all too evident at Wembley, will do nothing for Nunes’ confidence.

Completely agree.

To drop him the game before as well, bizarre. I don’t think anybody but Pep thought it was to rest Nunes for a cup final

I’ve had more than a few frustrating moments with Nunes but also really appreciate the effort he puts in and his stats are a lot better than people think.

I think Livramento is far better defensively, Nunes far better offensively. For £80m to £100m I’d want someone better than both, offensively and defensively

Yh I was more meaning we have options at right back nunes akanji Lewis khusanov possibly stones.

You're quite right, and I suppose for Guardiola it will be horses for courses. However, I don't think that deep down Guardiola's been entirely convinced by Nunes at right back yet, though selection now in the CWC and early games of the season should clarify whether he is coming round to the idea.

You are right, but Livramento is far better at inverting and joining the midfield and reading the game, with Ait Nouri on the other side I think that's what we are looking for.Very doubtful we get him IMO though. As an inverted full back, homegrown not sure who else we could go for and if we can't get him think we might stick.

Not a fan of Nunes but id have him at RB ahead of Akanji every day of the week

That's what I think yes.
I'll respectfully disagree on that one. Livramento is a full back by trade and quite a bit ahead of Nunes on the defensive side. Nunes will be better in the offensive areas fair enough. Are we going full circle here where when he's a target he's the best thing since sliced bread but now it doesn't look like it's happening he's only as good as a midfielder playing out of position at fullback?

Who tho? Hakimi, Kounde impossible I’d say. Cambiaso not as solid as Livramento defensively. Slim pickings out there. But Pep has generally made RB a project role. Alves & Lahm are two that went top tier under Pep. I’m waiting for his next rabbit from a hat right back.

Maybe it’s Nunes. Came on a lot second half of last season. Livramento not worth £80m to £100 imho
