It's Quiet the £250m return

Posted this before but I'll repeat it, I think 4 from Gundogan ,Kovacic, Akanji, Echeverri,Reis, Khusonov from the NHG group will need to be sold or loaned. So take your pick,my guess 2 senior and 2 younger players make way, but really no idea.

What happens if we have 1-2 players over the limit?

Sarcasm wasn't necessary. It doesn't matter what you think of Mary Earps. My point stands. And as you refused to discuss it, you know pretty fucking well I am correct.
My word, we take ourselves very seriously don't we? I wasn't going to discuss it as I was making a joke based on previous poster comments.

1-2 players would have to be left out of the CL squad
PL is no problem as likes of Savinho, Khusa, Eche, Reis are U21

Yes, I don't think it will be a big problem if 1-2 players don't feature in the first phase of the CL. If we explain to Gundo or Reis or Echeverri that they won't feature in the CL and they prefer to stay, so be it.

Then the squad size will be big?! Well, it's pointless to reduce the squad size AND keep injury prone players. Get rid of them instead of those who are more likely to be available.

If 4 from that group go we won't,by my count anyway. The leave players out of the champions league squad thing just doesn't work, partly because it could lead to unhappy players, but mainly because then we have a PL squad of about 26/27 and a situation Pep has said he doesn't want with players left at home.
I'm almost certain we go into the season with one squad for everything of 24/25 players.

Gundo would have been if Pep used him sparingly last season (although the lack of last summer's signings plus Rodri's injury forced that issue). Bayern could have used him more during the CWC but decided against that.

They could. That’s up to them.

I’m still not sure what this has got to do with anything, apart from Sane and Bayern.

And as I’m really not interested in that Club, I can’t be bothered talking about them anymore.

I explained above.

Get rid of the injury prone players to reduce the squad size, keep those who agree to stay without being CL registered if there are such. Some may well agree.

Doubt it myself, after all Peps said. We'll see.

You think that Pep would rather keep the injury prone defenders than Akanji. I don't see the point of reducing the squad in this way: several injuries and we are in a crisis mode again.

If we are talking injury prone defenders we are talking 1 really, Stones he may well go but my post was about the 17 NHG and only keeping the 17 that qualify for CL and PL squads and I am pretty certain it will be the same squad nobody will be left out of the CL squad(Echeverri injury hopefully not too serious). I never said Akanji will go, I said 4 from those 6 will.
So yes I think Pep wants about 24 players for all competioions 17 NHG, 3/4 HG 2 CT 2 U21

We are still behind the dippers imo unfortunately. Gap closer but Wirtz really could be the deal breaker and i posted in the dipper thread in the general forum, they are selling Elliott, Nunez and Quansah and are prepared to pay £150m for Isak!

Then Newcastle will have the funds for Grealish :)

They have plenty of issues too. Salah and VVD ages. Replacing TAA and Konate going in to the last 12 months of his contract after rejecting their last offer. These are massive issues for them.

Even if that happens which I very much doubt, I don't think they are much if any better than us. Our front 4
Haaland, Marmoush, Cherki, Foden would be a match for theirs.

Ake had 15+ league starts in just 2 from the 5 seasons, mostly due to injuries. Fantastic lad, but he's injury prone too.

Let's see what happens. We have to free places but it's hard to tell who's leaving from the NHG. My guess would be Khusa and Echeverri, then Reis (if all of the experienced CBs stay). Gundo is a natural candidate to go, but going by his interview, he is happy to stay, so the talk about him moving to Gala is likely just that.

Edit: 10+ PL starts for Ake in just 2 of the last 5 seasons. That's really poor.

I may be wrong but I doubt the dippers would pay £150m for isak. My guess would be they use jota and gakpo at cf and sign another wide player. I actually think wirtz will be used as an inside left of a front 3 with kerkez overlapping.

I don’t think what we have done wins us the league next season, do you?

We definitely need a well-rounded RB
Something like this, assuming it clicks and Rodri resumes his greatness, would have a very good chance
-----Marmoush Haaland
------------Cherki
-------Foden Reijnders
Ait-Nouri---Rodri---(Livramento)
------ Gvardiol---Dias
------------Ederson
It's difficult not to feel uneasy without mainstays over the years like KDB, Walker, but It's a young, talented team with plenty of goals in it
If we find ourselves in a title race with LFC I'll always back us, in part because many associated with LFC would also back us due to previous heartbreak. LFC never feared Arsenal. I think we could have won the PL the season just gone had Rodri not got injured. He has to be worth 12+ points, LFC would have been shitting it with us breathing down their necks, even if the likes of KDB were shadows of their former selves.

I think an XI like the above, in theory at least, isn't far off in terms of quality to our previous PL winning sides. For me, the biggest difference is the bench. Right now, I look at our squad players, like Reis, Khusanov, Nico, Bobb, Doku. Savinho, Echeverri and see tons of potential but no guarantee difference maker like we have had in the past. I have a sneaky suspicion tho about Savinho this season. He massively underperformed in terms of goals last season, he only needs to improve a slight amount to become a real asset. I reckon he's more likely than Doku to improve in terms of finishing. Unfortunate because if Doku became a good finisher he could win the Ballondor
