No guarantees he'll end up like Mahrez (two completely different players) and we can't wait 5 years for him to become that either.

Doku has some great attributes - speed, power. He'll make a decent footballer somewhere, but I can't see that being with us with our style of play. Savinho has the technical ability as well as speed. He's more likely to become Mahrez than Doku, in my opinion.

We are being used for a better contract. Rodrygo doesn’t have more potential than Doku or Savinho IMO. He isn’t the fastest , goes missing for months or during games. Will score 10 goals a season and is worth 80-90M? Thats the Real Madrid tax.
He is also position-wise similar to Marmoush. That’s a transfer that would happen just because we can or make a statement.

Nowhere near Robinho. Robinho had ballon d‘or potential. Rodrygo just doesn’t have any special ability. He is a jack of trades who is good in a good system but not an 70M+ player. Looking at his numbers not even 60M. 50M just because the Pl has more money than others
 
Being a bit harsh, Rodrygo is a very good footballer.

Who has always been very respectful to City.

Is he good enough to play for us, yes!!

Is he worth the cost?? Debatable but a lot of players are not worth what they cost.

Is he worth what we need to do, in terms of moving players on and no doubt taking a hit?? No.

So for me it’s wrong time, if we had the gap for another winger then he would have been a good option at the right price.

Both Lightweight, no real burst of pace but all the ability in the world. However, maybe a Pep system player, pushing right up against the fullback. Rinsed us in the 3-3 last year with Josko pushing up. Tbf Robinho wax coached by Hughes.
 
I don’t think this will happen, but whats this nonsense about his ability, he is a fantastic footballer.

How do you think he'll do against a park the bus every week in a much more physically demanding league?
