Why are you so annoyed? Is somebody forcing you to watch? You aren’t going to convince people enjoying the games they shouldn’t be. You sound like a paid up member of the red cartel.

Do the winners of this not get automatic entry into the next one in 2029 as defending champions? Cant find anywhere that says they do. Seems like an oversight to not allow the holders in yet they're fine with allowing a host nation representative free admission.

If it was the case it would present an additional strong incentive to go all out to win it. We'd stand a very good chance of qualifying for it again in 2029 through co-efficient even if we dont win the champions league again in thr next 3 years but the limit of 2 entrants from 1 country unless there's more winners is a big danger to further participation for any of the English teams and that extra revenue is something you dont want to miss out on.

No the winners don’t automatically qualify. We could do with a really good CL this year to move up the rankings so the pressure is already on.

FIFA reported 1,667,819 fans attended group games, an average of 34,746. That's very good given that some teams in the group stages are smaller clubs from the other side of the world.

I am aware DAZN have a minority Saudi investment. And? They want to be a regional player and make big economic and sporting plays. I am not interested in the business and politics. It's always grubby. I am interested in the football. Football is global and we need a credible Club World Cup to find the best team.

Where were these fans hiding? I have watched most matches and empty car park springs to mind :)

Our group was possibly the weakest in the competition. I can think of two weak sides: Auckland and Al Ain. It's a World Cup. If you want football to grow in Asia and Oceania, they need to play against the top sides.

The most striking aspect of the CWC has been the strength of sides from South America and Saudi. Al Hilal drew 1-1 with Real Madrid.

I've watched all the games and for every 10k crowd, there's 65k for Real Madrid or 54k for City v Juve. If you had asked me what the average att was, I would have guessed around 35k.

That's 2 matches, most matches are averaging about 13,000, mind you I didn't expect too much in Dollar land.

I've just watched a prog called The Press on DaZn. Took 5 minutes to load, but I'm stunned because I am not used to any positive comments about the team. They were fulsome in their praise ( apart from one guy who thinks Mooshy not an out and out striker. I kind of agree, however I would love to see him play alongside Erl and see what havoc they can wreak on opponent defenders.

The coverage was so refreshing- this is what it must feel like to be a rag/arse/Dips fan in relation to the media.
