I imagine it's the culture/psychology of crowd mentality (or something like that) along with the faceless anonymity of the internet, so it's sort of expected, or so I'm told. Apparently it's just harmless "fun" and not a big deal.
I just find it all a bit unnecessary considering that his only "crime" was to be very, very close to being our most successful international manager ever, despite the style of play he deployed.

We certainly are a main of moaners. Tuchel will get it even more because he won't even be getting us to the advance stages of competitions. Southgate was a very good manager and transformed the culture of the England squad. His failing was to be a very ordinary coach.
It’s two jobs really; who was good at both?
Venables was an excellent coach but a poor manager, for example.
