Glastonbury 2025

Best British band formed after 2000 other than the Arctic Monkeys for me. Can't Stand me Now is an utterly brilliant song and that's far from the only banger. New stuff is great aswell.

The Cribs for me, very good body of work, but The Libertines and Arctic Monkeys would be the others I'd rate alongside them.

Although objectively speaking, Alex Turner probably stands alone really, even though I can take or leave Arctic Monkeys purely for my own enjoyment.

This Neil Young concert is terrific. A touch of the match thread syndrome about some of the comments here.

I must have walked in pissed last night because I turned on the telly and thought

Eh? I thought he wasn't being shown

Fuck me that sounds terrible is he and the band taking the piss and turned it off.

Maybe I turned it on at the wrong time.

Very different sound from when they began to now the Monkeys. I like all stages of their evolution though, be a bit sad if they were still singing about falling out of snooker halls in Sheffield. He's done a lot of work to improve his voice, much better vocal range than when he started. They have properly cracked America aswell, the yanks love them.

Not actually listened to the Cribs that much I'll have a dive into them this week.

The last time they headlined Glastonbury they were shite.

Yeah they were granted, I think Alex was really under the weather and in that weird stage where he was singing the songs live at different tempo and putting emphasis on different words to how they sound on record which I didnt really get. 2013 they were superb.
