Any or all of them for me. Stones and Ake are never fit, while Akanji has been a great signing for the money his mistakes are becoming more frequent and Dias is a shadow of the player he once was. People calling it a glorified friendly are wrong. It's a competition we wanted to win and going further would have boosted our transfer fund, which looking at this game we're going to need.
The only thing saving Stones & Ake is the home grown rule. Gundogan getting more minutes in the tournament than Nico Gonzalez is laughable

That's exactly what this tournament has been, and yes even if we won it would be saying the same.
You’re entitled to your opinion. I’m here in the USA for 1 month following the club around because I don’t share your opinion and I view this tournament as a major opportunity which has just slipped through our fingers.

Having not watched it, the stats and some comments suggest we were all over them and could’ve been 5-0 up. Then Akanji happened.

He didn’t want to be there in the first place, amazed he was relied on so much.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see him leave. We only paid £15m for him and other clubs might see it as a bargain and we’d see it as an opportunity to recoup some cash and free up space.

I’d much rather we bleed in the youth and see Khusanov and Reis get the minutes Akanji gets.

It's laughable the doom and gloom for a glorified friendly.
We played well the other night, we played crap last night.

I can't see the problem!

End of season, a bad season I might add, new signings, heat, different 11's starting, the list is endless.

Just wait for the pep out posters which I'm sure will be along shortly.
Come off it mate, you don’t even need to have watched the game to pick up on the usual stuff that potentially is why people are being negative.

Pep picking his favourites, Bernie & Gundo in midfield, Akanji & Ake, getting countered continuously, Eddie letting everything in, players like Khusaniv and Gonzalez getting no minutes etc etc.

Yeah, obviously not end of world, but we hoped some of this might have been left behind now.

Our central defence cracked under weak pressure in a massive game. If you think it's a glorified friendly, you are an idiot.
Marvin my friend, what's going on?
Why you getting personal?
Massive game? Is it massive because it went to extra time?

But if you want a barny with me then let's get it on.

We can bitch about Ederson or Akanji or Savinho or anyone else, but at the end of the day, Pep’s got to be the one to adjust.

Eddie’s not enough of a shot stopper to deal with the chances this back line consistently gives up. So if we’re going to continue to play these players, we have to adjust tactically to try to cover for the weakness of the back line — pace primarily — and the GK.

If we aren’t going to adjust tactically, then we need different players at those positions who can play these system.

But if we keep doing the same thing with the same guys, we know how it will end.

More than anything, it’s up to Pep.

Couple of other thoughts:

(1) We seems more static tonight on attack. Fewer straight line runs. Less interchanging. Back to the loop everything to the back post and hope. So disappointing after Juventus.

(2) I’m done with Savinho. Foden or Bobb out there. Please.

(3) I’m honestly skeptical Pep will do anything different. He’s too damned loyal. But I do have hope that this will push Hugo to make another big move. I don’t know that a specialist RB would have made the difference tonight, but that seems more likely than another CB given the two January signings in the bench. But a RB probably makes Akanji expendable. What probably seems most obvious is moving Ortega and bringing in a new GK and getting ready for Eddie departing by demoting him. Now.

(4) Rest will be good for our guys. But winning something would have been too. We’re a ways away from that though. Clearly.

Yes the defence was bad, but maybe Peps tactics have been found out.

I don't know mate i just can't get annoyed with whatever happens in this competition.
Yes it was great to see us win against Juve but I'm sure come August pep will have us ready.

Not one to lose sleep over. We are out of the Club World Cup in farcical circumstances with a massive question mark over our central defence.

I think if you fail on such a stage, there is no coming back from it. You don't accept failure.
Indeed. But last season was clear that the team was in need of new ideas, thinking and personne. We got some of this but are only part way. It will likely be the back end of next season and the year after we really motor. Not even Pep can’t address our issues that we go from the farcical seasons of the autumn to getting back to being one of the top sides in Europe in 6 months. Enough positives to take so focus on them.

I'm a bit thick, what does drivel mean?
Is that when a player runs with the ball down the wing?
I'm a bit new to this post match bed wetting.

Think it means that some are over-entitled cunts mate and expect us to win twentyseventy nil against everyone.

Again, said plenty of times on here but been lambasted for it, but Dias just isn’t good enough. Yea, he can organise, but he’s nowhere near the level we need.
