Sadly, it can't get any worse for them than last year so this year will unfortunately be an improvement. I think the players they're linked with are solid players who will elevate them into midtable mediocrity. Nothing for us to be concerned with but never good to see them improve.

I'll settle for anywhere outside of any European spots. Hopefully a few more expensive flops and a very expensive managerial change or two.

I think they are in real trouble. At the moment their creaking squad is one year older and they have not made any strong signings. Unless something changes I am sure they will be in a relegation battle again. As long-standing City fans who have seen it all we should not be surprised. We went down in 1983 with a better team than they have got now.
Our 1983 team would still give 'em a game.

Scum.

I just want their loans called in, that'll do for me.

They finished 15th. Of course it can get worse

I’m working on the basis that they know they are shit and are looking to improve. Chuna, should be decent for them as should Mbuemo
Some daft team will come along and help United solve a problem by taking one of their cast offs which will free up *some* money

If they are in a relegation battle the manager will be sacked, so I’ll rule out relegation.

I expect them to be 8th - 14th

Brentford toying with them now with suggestions they want 70m they’ll prob still get the deal done but I hope it doesn’t as I think he’s a good player, the upside is no one it’s taking their cast offs because apart from their insane wages they are bang average plus not many teams will want players that down tools as soon as they are benched. A week to go for their pre season
With just one player signed, this is Manchester United we are talking about !!

You have to bear in mind that they are effectively a 'protected species,' in that certain highly contentious decisions WILL go their way - as ever. Don't forget this is a club who have profited immensely over the Munich tragedy, because they are by their very nature immoral, and both the Glazers and Worzel would rob their own grandmothers for an extra £10. So if there is any way, legal or otherwise, they can remain in the Prem, you can bet your life they are already working on it.

Finishing 15th or 17th makes no difference, only way it can get worse is if they go down and there's next to zero chance of that happening. The three teams that have come up may aswell be Sunday league sides compared to any existing premier league side.

Amorim will be sacked by time clocks go back. Shown no ability to improve any player in the squad he walked into, or reverse any downward spiralling culture in the club ETH had. Only helped to pour fuel on fires - Rashford, Antony, Garnacho no way back from since he turned up.

Chemical Jim will expect them trending top 5 - Cunha, Mbeumo good players but not even dropping 3 ready made world players has them finishing top 4 next season.

They will surely do better this season than last, especially given they won't even be taking part in the Thursday night cups, I've set myself up for them finishing in the top half.

The priority for me where these dogs are concerned, is winning BOTH derbies.

Scum.

With this logic it assumes winning the Europa league is at the expense of finishing higher in the league.

Might be worth a bet on Rags being relegated.

For the brave, a double with City winning the title.
I saw the odds on Skybet showing us as the same price as the rags for relegation, 18/1
