Sub Editors caused more trouble in my 30-odd years at the Word and Picture factories that I inhabited, than any other department. Teflon springs to mind :-).

Haha, ain't that the truth!

Dropped me right in the shit with many a manager down the years.

Usually some frustrated writer on shift who then went missing for another week!

Yep, and the online world means it’s all about SEO and clickbait nowadays
I was a sub for a while in the print days and it was fascinating, designing pages, editing copy and then finding a perfect headline within very strict space and word count constraints
And you wouldn’t believe the absolute state of the illiterate gibberish turned in by certain well known journalists on huge salaries
Sometimes what they turned in looked like the result of an epileptic baboon shitting all over the keyboard then rolling about in it

You subbed Harry Harris copy, didn't you?

I believe it's pretty common for the headline to be written by someone else, but no guarantee on this occasion of course.

Just saying I wouldn't hold that part against him. If the rest is vindictive shite then fair enough, but I'm not reading it to find out. :)

Herbert I think is just clueless more than anything.

Ian Herbert is an award-winning sports journalist and author, and the Deputy Chief Sportswriter of the Daily Mail. He is the author of Quiet Genius, the critically acclaimed biography of the multiple European Cup-winning former Liverpool manager Bob Paisley. It was shortlisted for the 2017 William Hill Sports Book of the Year award. Herbert was born in North Wales and is a life-long Wrexham fan.

I bet Herbert’s never wrote about the current owners of Wrexham, and how their wealth and money has BOUGHT Wrexham success.

Have a look into this, you tw@t, Herbert!

Wrexham AFC Limited is wholly owned by Wrexham Holdings LLC.

The R.R. McReynolds Company, LLC, a company formed pursuant to the Delaware Limited Liability Company Act in the USA, owns the majority of the shares in Wrexham Holdings LLC.

The R.R. McReynolds Company, LLC, is owned equally by Rob McElhenney & Ryan Reynolds and as such, they are jointly the ultimate beneficial owners of the majority of Wrexham AFC Limited.

Red Dragon Ventures, LLC, a company formed pursuant to the Delaware Limited Liability Company Act in the USA, owns more than 10% of the shares in Wrexham Holdings LLC and as such, a significant interest in Wrexham AFC Limited.

Red Dragon Ventures, LLC, is owned by Wrexham Scope LLC and The R.R. McReynolds Company, LLC.

Wrexham Scope LLC is owned by the Allyn Family.

(Cough!)

Delaware is considered a tax haven within the United States due to its business-friendly laws and tax structure. The state offers several advantages to corporations, including no state corporate income tax on goods and services provided by Delaware companies operating outside the state.

American owners is good mate, arab really terrible and an utter disgrace. That's how they all roll

I’ll bet Partey is well jel of the amount of headlines ‘Manchester City player’ Benjamin Mendy and his dangerous liaisons contributed to the daily news. Partey is just playing at it with a couple of little snippets hidden way down the pages.
The back pages will surely be dominated by questions about the ethics of Arsenal continuing to play him when every man and his dog, even me, knew he was the Premier League player facing serious investigations, and I’m sure the happy coincidence of charges being brought only when his contract was completed will be picked over for weeks
