If you want them to be near to 100% ready for the first game then, yes. Probably could do with 2-3 friendlies, after 3 weeks break.

I wouldn't help Bury out by organising a pre season against Sunday league FFS. They're utter twats - I still remember their snide marketing about "watching City get beat in the Champions League". Fuck them, let them rot.

Glad this has been arranged; as it stands, the new players have had time to see the way City play and get used to the ethos, and they are now on the beach but still time to get a pre-season friendly or two before the new season. Early exit from the CWC might not be such a bad thing, apart from the financial hit. That said, potential earnings never materialise until they are earned.

We should have a little Flyde coast mini break...something like Fleetwood on a Sunday & 'Pool on a Wednesday, then over to Sicily. Makes perfect sense to me.
