Remember being on a Tour coach to that game from Salou where we were on holiday. The Tour guide said it was FC Barcelona vs Some team called Manchester City!

Oh how times have changed.

Players are on a 4 week break and won’t have played for over a month when this game takes place. We’ll need more games on top of this one.

Rochdale away one pre season under Keegan i remember the yonner on the PA system announcing one of our subs when he came on as Kenny Car, everyone looked at each other and said who the fucks that, it was Karim Kerkar an Algerian we had at the tine!!

Took forever to get in the ground....4 turnstiles, 2 cash & 2 for tickets that nobody had but they wouldn't let them be used apart from tickets....we were queued halfway round the ground.

Yeah it was a fuckin boiling hot day from memory, we'd been in that Cemetery pub near the ground, thinking back it was a nightmare getting in!

That CWC what a crock of shite ..seriously scuppered much needed rest.. as Pep is alluding we will not be starting well. Could be dec or jan.. whole thing was a farce

Went to that game with my ex gf. Only thing I remember is the glorious weather and a crunching Didi Hamann tackle right in front of us!

Sure we had the stand down the side?

A shame really. Didn't a team of ours go to Chorley last year - was it the EDs?

We got delayed in Preston one pre season Monday a few years ago when Dips played a game at Deepdale ( or whatever the ground is called), but I'm not sure if they played Preston or a foreign team. Either way it's good for locals to see PL teams vs not regular opponents and away from their usual home grounds. Unfortunate we no longer do it.

Think the EDS have played Chorley (my local team) the last couple of years. Don’t think it’s happening this year though.

We played Preston, Blackpool and Barnsley in 2021.

Only down side they were more or less "bounce" games at home and no one could go.
 
Price of Hotels etc have gone up 300% since I started looking c1.5 hours ago
