There is lots of music from 84 I like and more than this record. I picked The Replacements Let It Be first on this thread in fact, but also Husker Du’s Zen Arcade (though I like later records of theirs even more), Laurie Anderson’s Mister Heartbreak, Minutemen’s Double Nickels on the Dime, and others (including REM’s Reckoning)! But none of them are quite as disposable as this :).

Before I do the round-up, I'd just like to add my condolences for @FogBlueInSanFran and his circles of friends. The uncertainty must be really tough for the family and close friends, not knowing for certain but knowing realistically there's little to no hope. My thoughts are with you all.

I'm doing the round-up early today because for the first time in a while, all the regulars have voted well before lunchtime. It seems that most of us weren't fans of Simple Minds' Sparkle in the Rain, but the album did have a few backers. The vote count, 17, was more impressive than the final average, 5.82. Thanks to Foggy for the nomination and for stepping up a week early when needed.

Next up is @LGWIO, who's got all afternoon to decide when to start taunting us with clues.

Thanks and I go along with all the thoughts and condolences in the direction of @FogBlueInSanFran

I shall now get on dropping some clues. Alas, I am not as cryptic as some so I am fairly sure this will go fairly quickly
 
I echo the sentiments of others , and my thoughts go out to all those families and friends of those lost in the flood.
 
seems its only me & thee playing at present..... I shall try and think up another additional clue before I drop the one that will really give it away

I've only got 5 minutes so will chuck everything at it
 
Actually, SORRY SORRY SORRY, scrap that...I have to think up a completely new one
 
Sorry, cancel all previous clues....I realised I was being something of a C***...I'm just starting afresh with clues and havent had a chance to do a new write up as yet.
