Listened to Pope just now talking about it’s a pitch that you have to bat first, it’s a pitch that you feel your never in, the pitch is slow, the ball doing bits!

Now I’m certain there was a pitch last year or year before where I remember a England players saying the exact same thing as pope then got all out for around 320 then when the opposition got in the pitch looked totally different flat easy to bat on did nought and ended up losing it!

So anyone thinks 350 is good if we get anyway near that I’m waiting till we bowl on there and see how the pitch is on day 2 hopefully late in day two!

With the heatwave this weekend there’s a good chance this pitch is virtually unplayable by Day 5, India need to speed the game up or beat England with 1 innings.

The wicket looks like a minefield to bat on for a first-day test at Lords, I don't understand why we are producing wickets like this; the bounce is so uneven and tricky to time, Also, it will take spin and turning corners,

England needs 350 plus, and then bowl a good length and aim to hit the wickets, bringing LBW and clean bowled into the game with the dodgy bounce

What a crappy score to end the day on; 99 not out.
I get the impression that whenever Root is on about 100 overnight he usually gets out fairly quickly. Could be just me. Anyhow we need him to buckle down and keep going all day.
