Frimpong is poor defensively like TAA. Dumfries is 30 almost. Wouldn't say either are better options.
He's 30 next April and £22 million wouldn't be a to expensive stop gap.

For a couple of seasons under Pep alongside Nunes he would be enough and there is no reason not to scout for another RB in the meantime.Yeah but the moment he turns 30 he will be shit. Did you forget that? It’s not like he can play at a top level until 33 or something. Once you hit 30 it’s over in football. There’s a major drop off from the heavens

you definitely got mgw moving right just not to manchester cityNot ITK but got a feeling we are moving on MGW and have given up on Livramento - just think Newcastle want crazy money. Got more leverage with Forest if they want McAtee. Probably allows us to buy an overseas RB.

id give him 500 grand a week too its not my moneyIf we're fully sold on Livermento and we're convinced he's gonna be our rb like walker for the next 8-10 years.
Then 70/80 million is fairgame. Get it done
Fair pointid give him 500 grand a week too its not my money
cant wait for why cant we get shut of players we dont need threadyou'd think he;d just want to play
Why would Newcastle sell him? And to a rival club, irrespective of the fee? Compare the relative wealth of the two clubs' owners (and yes, I know we or they can't just spend what we like); my point is, it's not like they need the money to stop them going tits up, is it? Unless they have some PSR issue that I haven't heard about? The only way I could see them selling him is if his head is turned by any prospective deal (doubling his salary?), and he makes it clear to them that he wants out. But any potential buying club need to be careful about making an approach behind Newcastle's back (witness Spurs and MGW).

Given that there's a lack of homegrown options and that Livaramento may not want to move surely the following lineup makes more sense.
Ederson
Khusanov. Dias. Gvardiol
Nuñes. Alt Nouri
Rodri Reinjders
Foden. Haaland. Cherki
We don't know that he won't, but if he won't it will be because unlike Nunes he doesn't think Khusonov is right for it.I wonder why Pep won’t try and coach Khusanov to play RB? I know he likes to join in the attack but if we are more stable in defence then surely that’s more of a positive than being a going forward full back? I’d rather us be defensively stronger and let the front guys do their jobs than keep giving a way stupid goals and being transitioned on to death constantly? Nunes like it or not did improve granted but will have brain farts every game as he is not a full back!! If Prp can play Akanji at RB then why not try Khusanov who done really well there when we needed him to?
