Anyone seen that stat? For 80 years, they've had at least one player in every single match day squad that started out there.

Obviously in the early days players were often local anyway, so that's hardly a surprise. We know Sir Alex always liked bringing young players through but I'm actually more surprised it's continued since they've been shite and loaded the squad up with mediocre foreign players.

Still, every game in 80 years, that's some stat.

Not for me, big deal.

The so called biggest Club in the world that used to hoover up and go to any means to recruit any youngster with ability. Course they can field at least 1 graduate in every team.

I bet every top side could say the same too up until about 20 years ago and the transfer system explosion that changed the game.

Long debunked I believe

Sir fkn Alex?

United are a team in serious decline. If it wasn't for the fact the bottom three last season were so astonishingly awful, there is a decent chance United could have been relegated. But the bottom three were so comedically bad that all three relegation spots were full.

I think it’s one of those meaningless stats. I would imagine most clubs would have had at least one home-grown player in their squad for every game in their history. It was the norm for everyone until about ten years ago and these days the squads are even bigger.

"Home grow" is as vague as it gets, they claim it helps local English players to come through but the qualification for home grown is so thin it's almost transparent.

You don't even have to be born in your own country to play for the national team and even if you are born in the country you play for you get people from other countries whinging about you not playing for them even though you weren't born there.

Yeah can never decide if he's a rag or a dip but, no blue that's for sure....continues to put fingers in his ears and uses sir fucking fergie FFS!!!!

Telegraphing his none City viewpoint.

I am a blue, it's pretty evident on city threads, how much I get involved in chats about the club and players.

What's wrong with calling someone by their real title?

People flex on here, as if it makes you a better city fan if you project how much you hate other clubs as much as possible, like how kids act.

People call me a rag or dipper because I called a man by his real title or because I said Anfield has the best atmosphere in the league, which is backed up by pretty much everyone including Pep.

That's all I've ever said, and suddenly I'm not a city fan haha.

I can't stand the dippers actually, but I think our home atmosphere in general is lacking compared to theirs, especially when the kop is rocking.

As for the rags, I dislike them by default but they're kind of irrelevant to us these days, so I have very little emotion towards them except being amused at their current level. They're not worth hating that much.
