Will we win the league this season?

Love your optimism. Absolutley we need a top quality right back. Opposition managers will know this. You need a solid defence to mount a title challenge and ours is anything but.

No chance. Our team now is miles better than the one we were forced to put out for 80% of last season. I don’t know where all the doom mongering is coming from. One game in an end of/pre season tournament where the players had no break, with new players and players coming back from serious injuries? No way is it going to be like last season. We’ve addressed all our main issues - except rb- and are hopefully starting with a fully fit squad. Don’t forget we were unbeaten and top before the injuries started last season. I’m not 100% convinced we’ll win the league, but defo top three and with a better chance in the cups.
And playing more exciting stuff as well with new ‘front foot’ coaches. The pressure is also on other teams with all the money they are spending. When there is pressure, only city seem able to cope with it. Very excited to see how this plays out this season.
 
Na. Liverpool signing the likes of wirtz and isak and their new number 2 goalkeeper is one of the best in Europe meanwhile we are seriously considering either ortega or Trafford as our number 1
 
Liverpool have atleast 4 world class players. I'd say we have 2 and Arsenal only have 1 at the moment.

You'd have to say Liverpool are favourites, but I'd definitely take the depth of our squad over theirs. If Liverpool get injuries to Key players such as Salah, Van Dijk, Konate, they could struggle. If we get the likes of Stones/Ake fit and Dias back to his former self we will be a far better side.
 
I think we will we come 2nd/3rd if we are lucky. We are in full transition now and probably Pep's first independent team.

After adding Reijnders, Cherki and Ait-Nouri and with Rodri back, how can we not be better? We clearly should be, and 2025 City is the best in England. It could be argued that Liverpool took their foot off the pedal at the end but perhaps City never had our foot on it 2025 because we knew the trophy was long gone.

In the last season Walker's game went, KDB was largely useless (both predictable) Rodri got injured and our central defence was decimated by injuries. In January we bought a host of players, mostly very young players who we have not properly seen yet, and in June we bought some outstanding attacking players.

2025-26 should not be similar to 2024-25.

The King is Dead, Long Live the King? I cannot say. You certainly cannot rule us out. But the old side is well and truly gone.
 
If we get a right back we will be in it u til the very end,if we do t we will be 8-10 points off it.
 
I know Liverpool took their foot off the gas towards the end of last season, but over the last 19 games of 24/25 we finished top.

We can safely assume we won’t be as unlucky with injuries as last season (especially in defensive areas), and we’ve made some great new signings, so I’d expect a drastic improvement.

What I think the success of our season will hinge on is the form of Doku/Savio/Foden/Cherki and their ability to put up some serious numbers. The first three need a drastic improvement if we’re to regain the title.

Though young and full of uncertainty can win the league and a cup or 2

Not if we let Eddie go. He's essential and if it isnt him it needs to be someone who is of equal capability, and even then they need to get up to speed in four weeks. Not going to happen and we will be playing catch up for the start of the season.
